Well hello there!! As you may know or not, I have not been super active here or in my “store.”

Season’s done, kids. Summer is OVER.

I know no one wants cats. I get it.

Luckily I have been blessed with someone who has helped me with SOME cats….

I’m fing off to Florida this winter…. (In a couple weeks….. lol)…. But seriously, I am going….

I have several super sweet human friendly pet them before they became feral kitties who would make great companions….

I know YOU don’t want them because I have asked just about every person I’ve met if they want cats. That’s fine.

If you know someone who may want or need a cat I still have plenty of really sweet kitties that I would like to rehome before I leave…. In a couple weeks….

Cheaper than rat poison for at least a month.

Or companions for a lifetime.

Cats are fing awesome.

I’m about at the end of my rope with charities and humane societies and the like.

It’s gonna be a Darwin situation after I leave.

It’s not your fault, it’s mine.

I couldn’t afford to fix them last year.

The good news is that I have already rehomed (with help) a lot of kitties who will have a great life.

One just left for North Carolina !!

I’m doing my best to not repeat the past.

If you know anyone who wants or needs a cat, please let me know.

They are all people familiar and will make great pets.

Or they can be outdoor if you feed them.

Or test your child to see if they are a future serial killer….

Hey kids, it’s been a while.

I’ll spare you the long story, but I have generally been nocturnal lately.

So I woke up at 4am today and couldn’t fall back asleep so I decided to clean up some more $ around here. Still couldn’t sleep and figured, “hey, sunrise soon….”

So I put in my AirPods and had a solo dance party in my driveway while looking at the stars and crescent moon.

Then I went down to the lake and trespassed on a few spots where I knew no one would be mad and stayed quiet and took a few pictures.

Enjoy. Or don’t. Lol.

I’m going to sleep.

I hope you see beautiful views and enjoy the paradise we call home.

Shhhhhh. Don’t tell anyone else.

Also, shhhhh cause I’m trying to sleep till at least noon…..

Hey buddies and pals, long time crappy winter no talk to!!

Story time!!!

I’m trying to get the store organized and presentable: spoiler alert: it is not.

Super cold stupid winter was mostly spent hibernating.

So yesterday I got motivated to get some stuff done. Got a new washing machine and have washed all my clothes from the winter.

Yesterday was cleaning up and thought something smelled funny in the garage. It has a new roof so I just ignored it.

Today was doing laundry and something smelled worse.

I poked around a bit and found a GIANT DEAD opossum (or possum, depending on your geographic upbringing…)

I got the guts (get it??!) to cover my mouth and nose and shovel it up and at least get it outside. I almost hurled.

I didn’t know what to do with it…. Throw it in my neighbor’s yard? Put it in the middle of the road? A few other horrible ideas crossed my mind.

So I went to the liquor store.

Upon returning and reflecting on the situation I decided the most moral thing to do for my neighbors was to approximate a Viking funeral.

So I made a hot fire in my back yard and gagged as I scooped up that maggot dripping co**se and set it gently upon a raging inferno.

If you smell something delicious coming from my place…. You’re welcome to it.

But it’s a dead possum but….

Hey kids, it’s been a while. Hope everyone is staying warm! Because it’s story time!!

I want to get a bit in front of this because I think most of you know me and know I’m a fair and honest person.

So if you hear that I ripped someone off, feel free to ask me about it.

Did an estate sale for a friend. His wife gave me a fridge, bench, and secretary for helping. Due to weather, sale did not go well.

Fast forward four months and the guy wants to pick up the bench and secretary. I’m a bit confused. Comes by today with the guy in the next story.

I gave the guy back the bench and the secretary after I told him his wife gave them to me and he threw a tantrum and some of my antiques on the ground.

He owed me a replacement brake light since he smashed into my car with the moving truck. I told him to forget about it.

I’d much rather be done and take the loss.

The other story is a consignment story, so if I don’t want to take your stuff this is why: a pile of stuff I didn’t want dropped off with ridiculous prices two years ago.

Told the guy to come get his stuff and it sat in my house for two years. One piece was missing and I was accused of lying and selling it, which I didn’t. I gave him a replacement just to be done with it.

Not a great story, but one of these people is a gossipy B, so remember there are two sides to every story if and when you hear about what a piece of S I am!!

Hey, so Wednesday I will be bartending at the Frog pond. Not that that’s news or special, but tomorrow is. There is a benefit for the families of two people who were killed in a motorcycle crash. I don’t think I knew them, but you might.

Anyway, all proceeds are going to the families of the two who passed.

I think it’s spaghetti and meatballs dinner for like ten bucks or something.

I’ll be there selling drinks and donating my tips. It’s like one shift and the least i can do.

I’ve only been here for two years, and I hate seeing bad things happen.

But when they do, I love seeing the surrounding community come together to help people who have lost their people.

I’m very sorry to all who knew the deceased.

Now I’m going to be a jerk.

The least I can do is make drinks for this event:

The least you can do is either show up and help your friends who are hurting or donate to the families or buy a stupid 50/50 ticket or something like that.

I know these two were loved and cared about around here.

Please show up and show the love and share the loss.

Belongs to a couple of clients from Corry.

What a beautiful day to drive around!!

Thankfully they called the number on the door as I was three minutes away, so we got to hang out.

I hate leaving the lake so I’m usually close.

Hours by appointment only.

Which means if you come by and call me and I am not at work, you just made yourself an appointment!!

So, Memorial Day weekend….

A lady came into the pond tonight and thought the author of this page was female.

That’s fine, I am not offended by being called the wrong gender.

I am a fan of being understanding and accepting anyone for who they are or want to be!! When I was 5 I identified as Susan from Sesame Street.

To set the record straight (lol?) I’m a straight dude with an antique store!! Fun, and outside the general stereotype!!

Also tonight a very sweet woman told me she was my biggest fan and loved my posts! I believed her and she was very nice. I think her name started with an “m” and I feel like a jerk that I can’t remember right now….

The real news…. And this is a joke, but there is truth in every joke…. I have to work tomorrow so I will be closed!!! F🎃🎃🐸🚀🚥!!!

But I am off Sunday. So if any of you mfz want to come by the store before y’all go hibernate, Sunday is your day!!

It’s all good if you just drive by on your way home. Unless a terrible tragedy befalls me, I’ll be back around Memorial Day. Or here all winter if a true tragedy befalls me!! (Kidding for my local friends.).

So, I was out of town last week…. Part vacation, part had some business to attend to, and part business that concerns YOU!! Getting more stuff for the store!!!

I picked up around 60 pieces of Homer Laughlin Harlequinware…. He’s the guy who made fiestaware, and this predates that!! I personally like the lines and mid century feel better than fiesta, but you be the judge!

Also picked up a lot of new/ old books spanning lots of different genres and subjects….

Also got my old kiln back in case anyone wants to do some pottery type things! (I have to test it out first…).

Plus more. And more. And more….

Anyway, I’m here all weekend.

As always feel free to call or text if driving long distances. I don’t plan on driving more than three miles in any direction this weekend unless I go set up in Waterford on Sunday!
