What a great reminder for today... We sometimes get so caught up in what needs to be done, our plans, and what we want that we start to lose sight of what God wants and his timing.
*God has such a big plan for each one of us, don't rush his timing.*
I was sitting on my bed this morning, playing with Buddy (our new little bundle of joy), and started to think about this long-drawn-out process of us getting our first new home.
It's been quite a roller coaster ride with so many things that seem to be standing in our way. What was supposed to be a 6-month process has now turned into an 11-month process. With promises of move-in dates that have come and gone and inspections that keep failing. The story is pretty big and gets crazier the more times I think about it or explain it to people...haha, but truthfully God has been present and has really protected us through this whole process.
When thinking back on all the processes that go into building a new home and the inspections that need to be done so that it is safe to occupy the home I was reminded of how many times God looks over where we are going, makes sure that the timing is perfect and how he directs our steps even through our own plans. (Proverbs 16:19)
Without an inspector failing our house because of a crushed water line, we would have had a big mess once we moved in, even the failed electrical inspection would have caused some issues.
I am so grateful for those who do their job correctly to protect our future in our new home, even though it may prolong our move-in. Stephen Coates and I are still excited to have the opportunity to own this beautiful home, this process I think is making us love and appreciate this home that much more!
I have a couch that was given to me with a bunch of items when I first moved here to Phoenix into my first apartment back in 2016, its taken on the name of my God Couch, open and ready for all who may need a bed to sleep on! haha It was such a blessing and the family who gave it to me, I still keep in contact with today. I feel that this home is now taken on the same name and appreciation, it is our God house and it will be open and ready for all who may need a hug, a friend, a place to lie their head or a place to relax.
I love in psalm 27:14 the part that says "Be Strong" because if any of you have ever had to wait for something you know that it takes strength, patience, endurance and continued prayer.
"Wait for the Lord, BE STRONG and take heart and wait for the Lord!"
So while we wait, please pray for us and our strength. Pray that this week may be the week we get an all clear to move into our new "GOD" Home! β€β€π
