Today I had a first. A Potential customer called me and was screaming at me because I never called him back when I was on vacation.
In his defense I forgot to put up an away message.
I send him a text when I got back to reality asking for his billing information so I can send him a proper estimate and he flipped out on me for that.
He called me this morning again and I missed it he left me a super nasty message,
he called me back a few minutes later and I answered. I told him that I didn’t appreciate him belittling me on voicemail and that must have sent him off.
He was threatening to call the BBB, put bad reviews all over the internet, tell everyone he knows not to use us use all of his power to basically put me out of business. All because I didn’t call him back in a timely manor.
As a one man operation it’s tough to juggle work and home life. He clearly didn’t give any s**t about of that.

Needless to say I respectfully declined his request to rent a mixer from me.

In 25+ years of being in the industry I’ve never had this happen.

My lesson learned… put up an away message!
