Blake the Rhino hates when it sprinkles and he has to come inside. He said he would still love to take pictures with kiddos and teach their parents about loose lay vinyl plank. Apparently it’s great for commercial spaces and DIY home installs. That’s what he says anyway. He seems to know a lot about flooring. Not sure if all rhinos do or just Blake. The number one thing people ask when they walk in is about waterproof floors, then budget, and then waaay on down the list scratch resistance. Most flooring is at least water resistant. If water gets underneath floors no matter the kind it should be redone because of mold. All but the very cheapest warehouse store offerings will stand up to spills and dog bowls etc. It just surprises me then that scratches aren't thought of higher.
Real life is people dragging things across the floors. It's excited pets with the zoomies because you got home to play. Last thing you want is for that to cause scratches.
There are a lot more options that scratch easily than ones that won't stand up to a little spill. Luckily we have the selection that keeps you from having to compromise on durability regardless of your budget.
Don't buy because someone said it's real good and the wear layer is 20mil. Buy from people who are your neighbors and are asking the right questions so that years from now you're still happy with us. I promise in the long run you'll appreciate the conversation with someone who knows the options and cares.
