What an amazing week in Chicago meeting with our incredible partners at GE Monogram! 🙌 So grateful for their continued collaboration on both our houseboat project and the next book 📖✨ It was such a joy to share the transformation of the boat and photos of the finished design — their appliances truly elevated the space! Huge thanks to the GE Monogram team for their partnership, support, and friendship throughout this journey. 💙

Oh my goodness… grateful is truly the best word to describe my feelings right now! 🙏💖 A huge thanks to the judges and to The Interior Design Society for honoring us with THREE Designer of the Year Awards last night 🏆🏆🏆

What a year it has been! 🎉

I feel so blessed 🙌 to have an incredible team 👩‍🎨👨‍🎨 and clients who trust our design intuition. The projects that end up winning awards 🥇 or landing in magazines 📖 are always the ones where clients give us creative freedom. 💡✨ Truth is—budget 💵 isn’t the main ingredient in a winning design… trust is. 🤝

A big shoutout to my hubs ❤️🐾 who took care of our brand-new Bengal kitten litter 🐆👶 for 18 hours straight while I headed to New Orleans for the Gala 🎭. I was a little disappointed to miss the conference this week, but so thankful I made it to celebrate at the Gala last night. 🥂💃

In 2021, I decided to expand our world of ✨Luxury Interior Design✨ into 🌍Luxury Travel. That’s when Shayla Copas Interiors transformed into Shayla Copas Lifestyle 💎. Offering BOTH Interior Design + Travel has been the most fulfilling journey—designing stunning homes 🏡 while also curating life-changing experiences ✈️🍷🌺.

We just returned from Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas 🎰 and I’m beyond grateful 🙏 for a week full of education, networking, amazing food 🍽️, and friendship 🤝.

I’ll be honest…after recovering from pneumonia a few weeks ago🤒, I was worried I couldn’t keep up—but I did it! 💪 And the best news…Scott is officially a Virtuoso Cruise Host 🚢! He’s over the moon 🌙 since he loves both cruising and hosting.

✨ A question I get a lot: “Are you still designing with all the travel…and the cats 🐾?” The answer is YES. I’m embracing all my passions—design, travel, and cats—because with the right team 💼 + support ❤️ anything is possible.

Some highlights from the week:
🌟 A huge thanks to Jose with Silversea for hosting me at his Gala table—what an unforgettable evening 💃.
🌟 Thank you Gifted Travel Network for including Scott at your table—it meant so much!
🌟 The Virtuoso Gala truly is the ✨Academy Awards of the travel industry✨—stunning décor, incredible entertainment and the best company.
🌟 Hearing Will Guidara, author of Unreasonable Hospitality and former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park ⭐, was nothing short of inspiring.

Between one-on-one meetings, cocktail parties 🍸, lunches, dinners, and more—we had over 100 events in just a few days! 🏃‍♀️💨 A marathon, but worth every second to connect with global partners who help us craft unforgettable journeys for our clients.

Finally, a big thank you to Megan Heard for keeping our kitties 🐱 cozy while we were away, and to Scott for making sure they were safe with a generator ⚡ when the power went out. Knowing our fur babies were cared for gave me such peace of mind ❤️.

Here’s to more design, more travel, more adventures…and always more love for the things (and cats) that make life beautiful ✨🐾✈️💎

BEFORE & AFTER From drab AND DARK to ✨GLAM✨ – sometimes all it takes is a little makeover magic! We decided to keep the cabinets in this powder room and sprinkle in some wallcoverings, a fresh coat of paint, snazzy new countertops, accessories and chic plumbing. Voilà! I’m truly honored to be a part of Donna Terrell’s incredible vision for the Warrior Lodge at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. As a donation to this important project, I’m providing the interior design for this special space that will serve as a sanctuary for cancer patients in southeast Arkansas.
The Warrior Lodge will offer a comfortable, welcoming “home away from home” for those undergoing cancer treatment, providing much-needed relief for patients and their families. This renovation is not just about a physical space; it’s about creating a healing environment that honors those fighting cancer and supports them every step of the way.
I’m thrilled to partner with such a meaningful project and work alongside Donna, Jefferson Regional, and the Yoga Warriors Fighting Cancer nonprofit. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of cancer patients. 💪🏽❤️
Stay tuned for updates as the Warrior Lodge comes to life, and thank you, Donna, for letting me contribute to this beautiful project!
