What a beautiful day to see the progress in my client’s home! She started with a project book in the Spring and we have gone room by room updating a little bit at a time. This fireplace got a full facelift. New rug, new upholstery, and a few added accessories to go with their amazing heirloom pieces and items collected from around the world. Pics of progress in the other rooms coming soon!

Hanging curtains isn’t an easy task. Here are some tips and tricks we use to make sure they always look perfect!
-
✨Make sure to hang the rod as close to the ceiling as you can. This will make your window and room feel taller.
✨Have a curtain rod that is wider than your window.
✨Get curtains that will touch the floor when the rod is hung. Measure from the floor to the bottom of the trim to get your maximum length to purchase.
✨Make sure your curtain panels are wide enough. You want them to still feel full when closed completely. You can always add extra panels to acheieve this!
✨The combined width of the curtains should be 2 to 2.5 times wider than the window.

Things are getting batty at our KKD office — and not in the fun Halloween-y kind of way. Please be patient with our team as we try to work around a bat situation this month. It’s been wild. Memories are being made for sure.

We have been working on so many fun projects recently and cannot wait to share after photos! Our favorite thing to do is help make our clients homes feel like them. We love mixing old with new to make a space feel more collected and unique to each of our clients!

We got to revisit a client’s home last week who asked KKD to help with their exterior paint colors and the addition of a front porch. We also re-designed their back porch to accommodate a new fireplace and TV overlooking the pool area. We love getting to see how our project books aid our clients in completing their projects on their own time. It’s been a year since we’ve seen this home but the clients did a great job carrying out the designs 🤩
