Our Zenobia home became a complete reimagining of how our client, a musician and creative, actually lives. We designed each space around the art, furniture, and collected pieces he already loved, transforming a breakfast nook into a library and creative retreat for his daughter, a sitting room into a meditation space and studio, and the upstairs landing into a full music studio complete with programmable LED light bars that pulse and shift color with the music he creates.

One of our favorite design moments is the powder room across from the music studio: pink metallic quail wallpaper, a saturated pink ceiling, and sculptural lighting that casts a soft blush glow into the hallway, perfectly tying into the flamingo artwork beyond. Every space feels personal, playful, and a little unexpected. ✨

Color without compromise 🌈

The goal of our Zenobia project was to create a home that felt like a series of discoveries; bold, playful, and just a little weird! The library corner became one of our favorite design moments: it's not often we get to pull THE brightest paint colors out of the deck, but we specifically wanted the little mudroom entry area to be so orange it almost hurt your eyes. On the other side, we have a juicy indigo purple bright enough to play with the colorful array of cookbooks but dark enough to make them pop.

Because the kitchen stayed untouched, our team leaned into the contrast between crisp white cabinetry and the unapologetically loud colors surrounding it. Black-and-white cow print, bright furniture, and clean white tables helped carry that tension throughout the space in a way that's graphic, colorful, and impossible to ignore. ✨

If high ceilings weren't a statement enough, this living space from our South Franklin home took it to the next level with a blue, coffered ceiling! We love how it brings the eye upward and acts as a fun pop of color in a generally traditional room design.

What do you think of statement ceilings?

A kitchen that flows as beautifully as it functions 👏 Swipe to see the transition from kitchen to pantry in our Clinton St. Conservatory project.

Clean lines, warm wood, and soft brass details set the tone of this kitchen design, while just beyond, the pantry shifts the mood entirely. Wrapped in a deeper, patterned wallpaper, this tucked away space feels like a hidden extension rather than an afterthought.

Open, airy, and intentional up front… layered, moody, and tucked away behind. Proof that the best designs don’t stop at what you see, they carry through every space!

NEW BLOG // Cooktop on a Kitchen Island vs. Along a Wall: Which Is Better for Your Kitchen?

Designing a kitchen comes with a surprising number of decisions, but few are as impactful as choosing where to place the cooktop. Should it go on the island, turning your kitchen into a social, open hub? Or does it belong along a wall, where function and safety are easier to manage?

If you’re renovating, building new, or simply dreaming of your ideal layout, our guide breaks down the real-world pros and cons of both choices so you can make the best decision for your home!

Visual clutter = stress

When creating bedroom designs we like to focus on simplicity, serenity, and creating an environment that is conducive with relaxation and good sleep. This bedroom from our Private Residence home is effortlessly chic, focusing on sunlight, natural wood, and a soft color palette.

Quartz is a man-made engineered stone, typically composed of 90–95% natural quartz mixed with binders and pigments and is suitable for both kitchens and bathrooms!

Pros:
• Nonporous surface
• Scratch- and stain-resistant
• Many colors and patterns available
• Comparable in price to granite
• Fabricates similarly to natural stone
• Does not require sealing

Ideal for:
• Busy families
• Frequent cooks
• People who want low-maintenance surfaces

Because it doesn’t require sealing and resists staining, it’s one of the easiest countertop materials to live with. In addition, manufacturers can control the color and pattern allowing quartz to mimic marble, concrete, or stone, making it extremely versatile!

This countertop from our 2nd Street home is courtesy of and is the perfect complement to this gorgeous Aspen home. Check out more about countertop materials in this month's blog! Link in our bio.
