Here's another project I recently finished.

These end tables/nightstands started life as a classic desk (you can see the BEFORE picture here).

Each table features a top made from Mulberry wood. One of the tops has a small bit of black epoxy for added stability and beauty.

The pieces of Mulberry had sections taken out of the middle to allow for a live edge on both sides of the top. Then they were finished with Rubio Monocoat to bring out the grain and for durability.

The bases were the side pieces from an old desk I refinished, stained black, and protected with a satin finish. One base has two drawers, and the other has three. There are also finished pull-out writing surfaces.

I'm selling them for $495 if you're interested in them.

I’m so excited one of my repurposing projects was featured on a YouTube channel. The video was launched this morning.

The channel is run by Matt Assmus, the son of some good friends of ours. He was the producer on such shows as “Rico to the Rescue” and “Maine Cabin Masters.”

There are two other projects of mine that are being edited. Will post them when they’re done.

My buddy Matt at Parker Bespoke Furniture created a very cool custom cabinet for a record player. If you're looking to have some custom furniture made, Matt would be a good one to call.

Matt is part of one of the woodworker mastermind groups I'm running. We keep the groups to three people and spend time encouraging each other and problem-solving.

Before/After on a plant stand that I recently refinished. The wood top was not salvageable but I found a nice piece of marble to replace it. Had to sand down the top of the lower piece but used Howard Products, Inc. to make the rest look great (I'm a big fan of their products). I restained everything and then used The Gorilla Glue Company gel to attach the top and trim pieces, plus make the legs sturdy again. Finished it with some Minwax high gloss wipe-on polyurethane.
