It’s Dahlia season! Also blooming right now - Zinnia Aurora, Agave, Oklahoma, Queen lime red; Celosia shimmer; and Lisianthus.

In a few weeks we will have Cosmos, tall yellow Marigold, Celosia - Chrystal Beauty, cramer’s burgundy, celway terracotta.

Mondays are big harvest and bouquet making days, so we can open our farmstand for subscriptions on Tuesdays. It’s nice watching this video of what seems like a peaceful, serene morning, but all summer long I work quickly to try to beat the heat. 🥵

Y’all it’s too hot to prep bouquets on the porch, so I’ve been making them inside the cooler 😆 🥶 I forgot to prep a ready bucket and had to go back out and fill one - still suited up.

Saturday evening and I was just out to put the ducks to bed. However, all of these beauties decided it was their time. Harvesting at the right stage is so important, especially, since I’ve been battling all the pests. So I ran up for my snips out of the cooler and came back with a handful that hurt my wrist to hold. 😁

The next farmstand bouquet drop will be on Tuesday. Lots of sunflowers next week and more Dahlias!Closed Friday 8/21
