The latest work from Atmesfer is a 325 sm (2,925 sf) fully enclosed salon exhibit for Gaggenau showcasing its 2021 range of premium home appliances.

To reflect the ‘Art in The Details’ approach of a brand with over three centuries of history, the Atmesfer Design Team created a highly refined space with 5m high ceilings, echoing top tier art galleries and museums. Displays and activations highlighting the unique blue enamel finish of their oven interiors were integrated throughout the space.

The salon was experienced only by invitation, and featured a private dining experience augmented by a ‘Le Petit Chef’ surface-mapped animation. Michelin-Rated Chefs prepared the food onsite, using Gaggenau appliances, of course.

Atmesfer’s latest project was seen earlier this month: a 278 sq m (3,000 sq ft ) branded space for Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP) for the annual China International Industry Fair (CIIF), which ran from Sep 15 -19 at the NECC (National Exhibition and Convention Center) in Shanghai.

To reflect SCIP’s shift to a business model that supports greener technologies and more sustainable operations, an emphasis was placed on kinetic movement and organic forms that echoed aspects of nature. Recyled materials and those with a low carbon footrpint were specficed in the construction.

Inspired by weeping willows swaying in a gentle summer breeze, an abstracted tree canopy delineated by precisely spaced fabric strips is gently animated by concealed air jets. Diffuse LED lighting is choreographed to subtly fade up an down with movements of the canopy to create a soft, ethereal aura that moves like the aurora borealis.

The movements of the arctic oceans and their cool pristine color palette inspired other forms in the space and floor graphics, with the aim of projecting a hopeful vision where the world’s energy demands are balanced with clean air and water, sustainability and a healthier planet.

Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP) was established to be the World-Class free-trade industrial and chemical zone/park. It was intended to attract investors with the best investment on large scale projects, utilities, logistics, environmental protection and administration services.

BP, BASF, Bayer,Degussa,Huntsman, SUEZ, Vopak, AIR LIQUIDE ,and Praxair among other world-famous multinational petrochemical and utilities corporations has estimated investment with the valued over USD 10.5billion. SCIP is one of the largest and the most integrated and advanced world class petrochemical bases in Asia.

Atmesfer provided the museum’s overall planning, design development, schematics and supervised displays fabrication of. Approx 1200sqm exhibit area. Located in Feng Xian district, Shanghai. The museum main objectives focus on education related to chemical-based product/services and China’s chemical industry development in general.
