This is a very rare and beautiful Rosewood case sofa designed by Poul Cadovius and made in Denmark by France & Daverkosen aka France & Son in the 1960’s.

The rosewood grain is fantastic and I completely understand how it could be over used and thus become an endangered flora.

This couch actually came out of the WB Studios prop collection. My new goal is to find it in some movies.

Really excited about these personally, as they are quite a find!

This set of 3 vintage black Mid-Century Modern counter stools by Erik Buch for O.D. Møbler A/S, are in excellent condition, with only a few marks and quirks, exactly what you’d expect after 60 years. The leather is still in great shape, and one stool even has its original maker’s sticker tucked away underneath.

The two things that set these apart from the usual Buch stools listed are that these are black instead of the usual Teak, and are counter height instead of the more common Bar height.

Buch was known for sculptural design with clean lines, and these stools are no exception. Classic, usable, and ready for a few more decades of stylish living. DM us for details. 🪑🖤

✨ Mid-Century Icon: Finn Juhl “Japan Chair” FD-137 ✨

A masterwork of sculptural simplicity — this Japan Chair (Model FD-137) was designed by the legendary Finn Juhl in 1957 for France & Sons, and imported to the U.S. by John Stuart.

Crafted in rich solid teak, the chair reflects Juhl’s deep respect for Japanese design — clean horizontal lines, floating seat and back, and a harmonious balance of form and function. Every curve and joint showcases the Danish Modern ideal of craftsmanship as art.

A special detail of this chair is that it came from the Warner Brother Studio collection. And still bears a WB brand on the underside.

This is more than furniture — it’s a statement piece from the golden age of Mid-Century Modern design. 🌿
