32 years ago today, Mr R&R and I welcomed daughter one into our lives and our world changed forever . It continued to change as she grew up to the beautiful and accomplished woman she is today. From her first breath and steps, to her walking across the Boston University stage, to accepting a Navy commission on the USS Constitution and her first F/A-18 flight … we’ve been so proud and thrilled as she grows and thrives . This last year has been one of continued firsts and lasts… Getting engaged and getting out of the Navy ! Cannot wait to see where this next chapter and season of her life will take her … but we know it will be filled with the zest of making it a wonderful one not lacking in adventures , books, wine, love and laughter . Happiest of birthdays Poohsey! We love you, and as always proud of you, and hope you’re enjoying your birthday in the wilderness! Mama and Daddy

Apologies peeps and customers … being gone four weeks without restocking or refreshing is bad for antique market spaces! But, I’m back from my European antique buying trip (so I can continue to restock with yummy goodies from Europe) and Mr R&R and I have restocked and refreshed both our spaces yesterday and they look so good! Thank you for your continued patronage at this outlet/annex … it allows us to bring our antiques closer to the Columbia and Nashville customer! Our Loretto location isn’t always open nor is it conveniently located to many, and we always appreciate your visits to our little small town and our showroom/warehouse. Our shop opens next on June 20, and our container event is coming in August …. Meanwhile, enjoy our CAMP space Tuesday through Sunday ! And as always, online !

My last two days in Europe were divine ! I had forgotten to share this part of my trip, but was reminded about it when talking to a customer over the weekend. Some alone time after Claire returned home and I collected my thoughts and reflected on my buys and allowed two days of touring two new towns in Netherlands . Utrecht is now on my fave list . The canal tour was lovely, but my biggest surprise was that there were offices, shops, studios, apartments and restaurants in what I’d call “caves” along the canal and under the streets of Utrecht ! After my canal tour, I headed to a restaurant I had spied a long the tour and had the yummiest lunch and view ! Highly recommend .itarestaurant.utrecht … as the highly visited European cities seem to lose some favor, people are vying for underrated or less touristy destinations and I found a couple on this trip !

Saturday, 6 June ! D-Day…. And flag day plus America’s 250th is approaching so…. Flags are out and we are feeling patriotic and offering all active and retired military 10% off their purchases today. The shop is open from 10-3 and the warehouse by request (Mr R&R will gladly meet customers there)!

We thought Vivre la France 🇫🇷 music 🎶 appropriate on this day since D-day began the liberation of France and Europe and we have all these lovely French and European antiques sourced directly from Normandy and France, Belgium 🇧🇪 and Netherlands 🇳🇱! Come see us in this beautiful day!

Carved and Classic . Brown furniture lovers, I got you ! I hit the jackpot on my May European sourcing trip and am so in love with these pieces ! From 1700-1900, I have a wide array of classic, dark, carved and clean line antique furnishings coming on the next container… here are just a few! My shipper has given me a pack date, so it looks like an early to mid August container event! So tell me! Dark and moody? Stripped and Raw? A bit of both ? What’s your fave ? Also, carved pieces are starting to trend again, in moderation and certain styles . I absolutely love a carved piece and the workmanship that went into these pieces amazes me!

Dreaming in green? As always, loads of green everything this time of year as the grass, gardens and forests green up with all the rains (for our area anyway) . Plants are in the pots on the porch and patio and wouldn’t these Castelnaudary pots look dreamy?

Castelnaudary pots are antique French terracotta planters from the town of Castelnaudary in the Languedoc region, which usually feature striped glazes in emerald green, yellow or brown and used historically for the culinary traditions of the area, particularly in cooking dishes like cassoulet, storage or as decorative garden vessels. They date from the 19th century and prized for their rustic French country charm and patina .

Great for indoors or out, and available online or at our June 6 shop open from 10-3.

The other perks of sourcing in Europe …. Yes, all the antiques I source are the ultimate reward, but the side benefit of driving across three European countries is the scenery (unfortunately I always manage to get tickets and always in France never Belgium or Netherlands). This is just one happy five minute surprise … I had to stop to take a video and soak up the surroundings, even if briefly since we are often on timelines to get to and from dealers, brocantes and markets. It makes me want to linger longer … one day!

From the meh to the magic, we find it all. Sometimes it’s all one big magical surrounding and other times, we trounce through the muck and piles and find pure goodness. Bad weather and good, occasional grumpy but mostly charming dealers, stacked and clumped to beautifully curated warehouses and shops, country roads dotted with cows, sheep and horses along tree lined roads to city streets filled with bikes and pedestrians, detours and going the wrong way (oops only once), city construction and beautiful architecture…. I love it all! Sourcing in Europe comes with the good the bad and ugly but mostly good and I get the pleasure of sourcing in Europe to bring back as much goodness as fits on my container! I get better each trip sifting through the overwhelm and spotting and handpicking the treasures to bring back to Tennessee for you to bring home ! And I love all three countries ! Sourcing in just France is limiting … I find a wider array of pricing and product and stories from Belgium 🇧🇪, Netherlands 🇳🇱 and France 🇫🇷 !

The trip honeymoon is over and the back shop work is this week with the paperwork, paying the dealers, arranging for container shipping and of course, three weeks of being gone from home means a lot of catchup here as well! But, I am open this Saturday June 6 (D-Day) ! All military (active and veteran) get 10% off in honor of this day… after all, Europe would not be the Europe we now know and have the opportunity to source beautiful antiques if that day had not been successful !
