Last year, I was at a charity shop in Orange County and found this amazing robe for $10 on the back of the rack. It needed a bit of mending and cleaning but I knew I wanted it. This robe was the exact cute I had been looking for to make myself a robe set to wear around the house. The top and bottoms were and extra out of the remaining fabric I had left of the scant. It all worked out perfectly.

I think I'll make a second set in the near future for fall.

This has to be one of my top ten fabrics of the De Leon line. I've used the beautiful colorful version many many times on aprons, bags, quilts and more but his is such an amazing version on this art.

This weekend I finished a beautiful jacket made with anda beautiful light blue inside the jacket. The jacket is a pattern I made from a bed jacket I found at an antique shop in OC last fall. It has since turned into my art jacket muse for all kinds of projects this year.

This set was such a fun project to put together last week. The skirt I made for our daughter in 8th grade I believe ( which needs a little bit if adjustments) and the top was made by reclaimed fabric from a fabric sale a couple months ago in Anaheim with one of the local quilt guilds. The ladies of the guild sell unwanted extra fabric they have acquired from other members, donations etc. Selling off this fabric keeps it from the landfills and give these scraps of fabric another life in someone else's project. Needless to say, I had tons of fun giving this fabric a new purpose in Katie's closet.
