We recently had the opportunity to create a custom slate for ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’ 🐙 🎬✨

While is usually the one bringing our slates to life with paint and color, this one was a special project for — who not only designed and engraved the slate, but painted it as well!

From the layout to the final details, this slate was such a fun one to create, and we absolutely love how it turned out. 🖤

We had the honor of creating a custom slate for the First Assistant Director on Scream 7, Kevin Black
… and as 90s kids (and fellow Virginians), this one meant a lot.
:
There’s something surreal about being even a small part of a nostalgic franchise that so many of us grew up watching.
:
This slate was done in one of our most-requested color combos (black and red), laser-engraved for precision, then hand-painted for that bold, high-contrast finish that really pops on set; It’s clean, cinematic, and built to show up on camera.

Moments like this are why we do what we do.
Every slate we make becomes part of someone’s story… and sometimes, that story is pretty iconic.

Another film, another slate, another moment we’re so proud to be part of 🎬✨

This one hits a little extra close to home! Shot by our very own and featured in the Pasadena International Film Festival this year!

This slate pushed us creatively in a new way… one of our very first gradient designs, and wow!! It turned out beautifully.
There’s something really special about taking a vision like that and bringing it to life by hand.
(We might be a little biased… but still 😏)

Last night, ‘Dungeon of Deceit’ hit the screen at the Pasadena International Film Festival, and we couldn’t be more proud.

This UV-printed slate was made for their production, and seeing it connected to a project that made it all the way to a festival screening… that never gets old.
:
Every slate we create isn’t just a tool… it becomes part of the process.
The early call times, the long nights, the problem-solving, the moments that eventually turn into something worth watching on a big screen.
In a small way, we get to be a part of that journey, and that means everything to us.
