Visualizing the drainage flow! 🌊 Here’s a stripped-back look at how a sink, toilet, and floor drain route into a main sewer line. (Just make sure you actually bury the pipes on your site! 😉).

Visualizing the rough-in! 🛠️ This stripped-back view shows how wastewater from the sink, toilet, and shower connects before heading to the main sewer line. Getting these angles, connections, and trenches right before the final floor goes down is the most critical part of any bathroom build. Plumbers and builders—how would you rate this pipe routing? Drop your thoughts in the comments! 💬

So happy with how this side garden project turned out! 🌸 We set up a beautiful carved stone splash block and river rock bed to gracefully handle the water from the downspout. It flows right next to the garden bed where we added a lovely stepping stone path over the fresh dark mulch. The pink hydrangeas and bright yellow blooms are looking so vibrant right now, and I'm loving the cluster of terracotta pots against the brick wall. It's the perfect mix of form and function! ☀️🏡🌿

Making serious progress on the side yard drainage and landscaping! 💪

We’ve got the foundation waterproofing membrane installed and the gutter downspout feeding directly into a surface drainage inlet to keep water away from the house. We also added a clean gray crushed-gravel walkway, separated from the yard by a solid concrete edge restraint. You can see where we are currently working on the prepared drainage bedding and getting the underground corrugated pipe set up.

Functional stuff aside, my favorite part is seeing that gorgeous blue and purple flower border popping in the background! 🏡🛠️🌸

Finally tackled the drainage on the side of the house! 🏡💦

Ran a new PVC downspout extension straight into a perforated drain pipe to make sure water stays far away from the foundation. Lined the whole trench with filter fabric and filled it in with white river gravel to keep things clean and flowing right.

Even managed to spruce up the landscaping with some blue hydrangeas while I was at it! Let's hope this keeps the basement dry. Bring on the rain! 💪🌧️

Part 2
Turned a boring downspout into a mini backyard oasis! 🌿💧
Instead of a standard plastic splash block, the gutter now flows over a beautiful three-tiered rock waterfall into a bed of smooth river stones. Surrounded it with some fresh plants and crisp edging to complete the look.
Who knew drainage could be this pretty? Bring on the rain! 😍🌧️

Protecting your home’s foundation starts with smart drainage! 🌧️🏡

Instead of letting roof runoff pool around the house, this setup directs the water down a copper downspout and straight into a catch basin. The water then flows safely away through an underground perforated pipe buried in drainage gravel, all topped with clean river stone for a polished landscaping look. This is exactly how you achieve proper foundation protection and keep your basement dry!

Have you checked where your home's downspouts are draining lately? 👇

Proper drainage is a game-changer for your home's exterior! 🌧️🏡 Just look at how clean and functional this setup is.

Roof water is directed through a beautiful bronze gutter and downspout system right into a stone catch basin. Instead of washing out the yard and pooling near the house, the water passes through filter gravel and is carried safely away by an underground drain. Plus, the landscape buffer adds a great touch of green while ensuring crucial foundation protection.

Does your home have an underground drain, or do your downspouts empty right onto the lawn? Let me know below! 👇

Obsessed with this brilliant downspout hack! 🌧️🌱

Instead of letting rainwater just pool by the foundation, this setup directs the white downspout right into a stunning raised planter box built against the house. The water flows down a clever central channel filled with river rocks, passively watering the gorgeous leafy greens and purple plants growing on either side. I absolutely love how the dark stained wood and black metal corner brackets give the whole bed such a clean, modern look while serving a practical purpose

Such a smart way to manage roof drainage while keeping your garden thriving! Has anyone else incorporated rainwater runoff directly into their raised beds like this? Let me know below! 👇
