A design magic trick 🪄

At just under 350 sqft this ADU aka Casita needed to be a lot of things in a small space. Storage was a big priority. The entire back wall became a storage closet but instead of standard doors, we put in custom flush doors then wallpapered everything to make them disappear.

Now that’s what I call form and function!

We paired crisp white cabinetry and warm textures with this light green zellige tile to bring the feeling of the coast indoors. It adds color, texture, and a little everyday escape to this kitchen.

It’s summer vibes, all year long. 🐚

The transformation of the exterior at Project still shocks me tbh. Swipe through for before and after shots ➡️

The client’s grandfather built the original house and it has been the family hub for decades. With the next generation, they wanted to continue to be the home that hosts all the gatherings but wanted it to reflect them. In order to update the late 80/90s facade, we replaced windows, removed some heavy detailing, chose a fresh color palette, and added native landscaping that reflects their colorful personalities. Now it’s ready for summer festivities and more! ☀️

A few film shots from Project from Charlotte Lea Bailey have me skipping into the weekend. Something about film photos transport me to a feeling, a place, a memory. 🤎

Random fact: I took some photography courses in college and absolutely loved it, especially being in the dark room. TBH I don’t remember many of the technical skills from the courses, but I have fond memories of experimenting in the dark room developing the film.

When the materials just sing in a space! Swipe to see some progress pics and what it looked before ➡️

This bathroom remodel embraced the light, natural materials, and a few design-forward details too! The wood beam was previously covered up with tile so we cleaned it up and kept it exposed. The sunny yellow tile adds some personality to the off-white tiled walls, while that Calacatta Viola marble gave the space that extra special touch. ✨

The coffee station at Project might just steal the show! ☕️ Swipe through to see the full kitchen + don’t miss the before pic at the end.

The goal was to create a kitchen that feels warm, timeless, and easy to live in. Every inch of this galley kitchen was thoughtfully planned, including a dedicated coffee station that keeps the everyday essentials tucked away but easily accessible.

We made a few strategic changes to the layout and still managed to add more storage!

A once forgotten bedroom is now the envy of the whole house. Wait until you see the transformation on this one!

We reimagined this bedroom by introducing a bold yet balanced color palette, sculptural shapes, and a mix of textures and layers.

The clients needed more room in their adjacent walk-in closet, so we took about a foot from the original bathroom footprint. It was a small change that made a big difference in how both spaces function.

The goal was to make the bathroom feel intentional and elevated despite the reduced square footage. A custom vanity with curved Shaker detailing, soft blue quartzite, and alabaster sconces brought the character and warmth, while the ribbed shower tile adds subtle texture.

Proof that bigger isn’t always better when it comes to bathroom design. Intentional design and upfront planning can make a space more functional and beautiful so it works for the way you live.
