Larry sat down with LA In A Minute to talk about the moves everyone said would make Sit 'n Sleep go broke. 🎙️

Everybody told him he'd go broke going on radio. Then opening the superstore. Then going on TV. And when he went to the Valley, they were sure of it. Little did they know, that store became the second highest grossing mattress store in the country.

Yes, we really have given away free mattresses. 👀🛏️

And over the years, we’ve donated thousands of beds to charities across Southern California, including the LA Fire Department and Habitat for Humanity.

We’re proud to be part of the communities we serve. ❤️

For Oscar Salvador, it comes down to one word: family. 💙

“Since I came here, everybody has treated me like family. And when you’re treated that good, you’d never want to leave.”

Oscar has been part of the Sit ‘n Sleep team since 1996, and he’s seen people grow here across departments like inventory control, purchasing, and sales. In his words, we’re a company that opens doors for everybody.

Thank you, Oscar, for 30 incredible years. We’re lucky to have you. 🙌

It all started in 1980 with a small futon, daybed, and sofa bed store in Culver City, California.

And when we didn’t have enough money to change the name… well, we kept it. 😂

Turns out, it worked out pretty well. 🛋️😴
