After prepping the back room for framing the guys went ahead and got to work.
Even though the framing wasn’t necessarily needed, we did this to give more insulation to the room so that it isn’t so hot or too cold.
The existing insulation was only about 2 inches thick so we thought it was a good decision to add more!

While we are waiting for the flooring to arrive, we decided to work on the back room.
We removed the damaged siding and cleaned it up to prepare for framing in the walls. We put in a skeleton of framing inside the existing room in order to get insulation in and give the room window sills.
We decided to do this due to how cold or hot the room gets without the insulation.
Everything is moving along with this renovation and we are looking forward to showing you all the results 😊

Back with another update on the flooring today!
We were finally able to order the rest of our flooring yesterday!
But with the timeline of when it will arrive, it sets us back a bit on our schedule.
Fingers crossed that the flooring will come in sooner than the estimated arrival time so we can get ahead on this project!🤞🤞

Last Monday Home Depot had over 800 boxes in stock of our flooring. ( this is an online only purchase) By Friday they only had 18 boxes. So we decided we will be purchasing those last boxes.

We went to work and not even an hour later those 18 boxes were gone. The worst part… the boxes we had were installed already.

We are very disappointed that we now have to wait until the flooring comes in to finish up.

We later found out that there are selfish people that are purchasing these boxes and marking them up in their warehouse 50 percent higher than Home Depot. Roughly a hundred dollars per box. And we need a minimum of 25 boxes.

We are praying for this stuff to come back in.🤞🤞🤞

It’s been nice to have an extra set of hand around the walnut home.
Today we put up the rest of the cabinets.
✔️Pantry cabinets
✔️Cabinet above the refrigerator
✔️Microwave cabinet
Happy to have this out of the way, it’s really coming together now.
Next we need to finish the floors. We will have an update on that tomorrow.!

Now that our group has grown from 3 to 4 on this project. We have all been back and forth with the decision on this flooring.

About a week ago when we had that company pick up our trash from the back room, we realized when buying the flooring back in June (a huge order on a great discount) we didnt get enough!
When Nicole went to order more, of course they were out of stock!🤭
After already thinking of changing the flooring instead, by luck it came back in stock and we kept with the original plan. Guess luck is on our side after all. 🤗 Keeping in mind that we still have work going through the hallway, we got the bedroom done!

With all the other things that needed to be done now finished, it was time to get back in the bathroom!
Installing this door for the shower was not easy.
We had to play with it a little due to some level issues we ran into. The new walls that we built were level but they were level to the exterior walls that were unleveled.
After letting it set for about two days we were finally able to install the glass doors.
Thinking the instructions had said the wheels were sold separately, we went the entire day doing other things before realizing the wheels where behind the glass built in to the styrofoam. 😓🤭
We are learning through this experience this is all trial and error. We will have a lot of knowledge for the next project we work on!

With all of the cabinets up now, we thought it was a good time to celebrate!
Jenna’s buddy Cory played limbo with a six foot level. After some fun we started to build the island wall and mount the island cabinets. The kitchen is coming along nicely. We can’t wait to show you all the final results!🤗

Now that the room is almost ready for flooring, it’s time to get everything up so we can access the floor. We started with putting up some of the cabinets in the kitchen. While doing that we were able to finish up some lighting in the kitchen as well!

Our master bedroom is starting to actually feel like a living space again!
Now that the room was mudded and sanded, it was time to finish it up. A coat of primer and two coats of finish paint was applied on all the new drywall, including the ceiling. Then we added the upper trim throughout the room.
Everything is coming together and we are on to the next project in this mobile home renovation!

We’ve been using the back room to put trash that has been accumulating over the last few months.
It really started to build up so we decided to hire a company to come remove it all!
Then Jenna and her buddy decided to rip out the drop ceiling and get rid of that as well.
Once that and all the trash was gone, the subfloor was revealed…and the room looks brand new!🤗
