If you have a terracotta pot, here’s a way to make it more fun.
This is a simple DIY project. You’ll need a terracotta pot, paint pens/acrylic paint and Krylon Acrylic Varnish Spray (clear acrylic varnish spray).

After varnishing the pot it will loose its absorbency. Just keep that in mind when watering your plants. You don’t have to varnish the inside of the pot but it helps to prevent the water from pushing out the paint from the inside.

Today we’re making a coaster from start to finish using DAS Air-Dry Clay. This DIY project can be the perfect personalized present or quirky statement piece for your cup. Listed below are the materials we used for this project.

Air-Dry Clay is budget-friendly and easy to use. It’s a great way to sculpt hassle free of using a kiln or oven. Besides coasters, you can make tiny sculptures, little trays, incense holders, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Here’s a swatch video of some of the Optimist ink colors. Today we’re swatching 🎒Federal Red, ☀️ Primary Yellow, 🫑 Seaweed, 🍇Red Violet and 🦕Prussian Blue.

Optimist inks are produced in-house by Federal Color . These are a highly pigmented, shellac-based ink that is lightfast and UV-resistant. They are waterproof when completely dry, which makes them excellent for layering. You can use them for drawing and painting using a dip pen or paint brush. 🖌️✒️

To thin the pigment, you can use their Colorless Medium. This ensures that the shellac-based ink retains its permanence and you can achieve transparent glazes.
