You may all remember Jayne Skeff as one of the women who registered you at the High Noon auction every January. You may also recognize her name in the bi-lines for many of the Smoke Signals eMagazine articles. She brought good energy, delight and talent to our Western world across the US. Rest in peace, Jayne!

Our good friend Wiley Buchanan passed away peacefully on Sunday March 7 at home in Washington DC with his wife Janis Buchanan.

Although his home was in the east, Wiley spend many years in the West (living in Santa Fe and Denver), meeting cowboys, “doin’ deals” from the trunks of cars and attending all the major cowboys auctions. He was a passionate and discerning collector who shared his energy with the Buffalo Bill Center in Cody, WY, both as Trustee of the museum and as Chair of its Whitney Gallery of Art. It was the people as well as the artifacts that captured his imagination and led him to introduce his wife, Janis, to the Buffalo Bill Museum where she now serves as trustee.

We will miss Wiley as a friend with his quick wit, his easy laugh and that twinkle in his eye.
