This project has been a huge dose of serotonin to me – I get the same burst of excitement seeing these photos as my kids do eating their Sunday sundaes. It feels chemical, truly. Over the years I’ve hoarded so many vintage quilts so it was truly a dream come true when turned them into the seating of my dreams :)

I always get asked for durable countertop recommendations and I GET IT. If you’re renovating you do NOT want to have to replace those bad boys. We personally used cloudburst concrete by and absolutely LOVE IT. If you’re renovating soon, definitely check them out.

For this year’s installment of “gifts your kids will actually play with and not become land-fill items nor just look pretty and take up space on their shelves,” I had my kids, once again, tell me what their favorite gifts have been the last few years – and what they want this year. I paid them 25 cents per each gift rec – an odd parenting move for sure. This year I demoted them from the accidental paid kid influencer (I never paid them LOL – jokes on them!) and just kidnapped their favorite things while they were at school after a lengthy “sunday-sundae” information gathering session. And the results are in y’all: scroll through for some tried and true kid gift ideas.
