Okay, coffee lovers—this one’s for you. ☕

The name 36 LBS comes from a surprisingly specific piece of Civil War history: Union soldiers were allotted 36 pounds of coffee per year, which worked out to roughly three cups a day.

Coffee wasn’t just fuel. It was routine, comfort, and a small piece of normal life in the middle of something anything but normal.

Our 36 LBS candle captures that familiar comfort with the rich aroma of coffee beans and cream.

And yes, it smells very good.

That’s the feeling behind Virginia Bluebell. A soft, natural floral grounded with earthy notes, inspired by the delicate Virginia bluebells that bloom across our landscape each spring.

Some historical stories are serious.
Others smell like fresh bread and warm butter. 🥖

Virginia’s farms played an important role in feeding the colonies during the Revolutionary War, earning the region a reputation as the “Breadbasket of the Revolution.”

That history became the inspiration for one of the coziest candles in the Commonwealth Collection.
Breadbasket of the Revolution is warm, buttery, nostalgic, and basically an invitation to make yourself a snack.
