I've been neglectful in more ways than one.

Things are going well at the farm. We are getting more settled into the dairy farm life every week, but it has taken my attention away from our tallow and sourdough much more than I anticipated. We miss seeing you all at the market.

BUT! I do feel like we're getting into a better rhythm and there's a light at the end of the tunnel of this transition.

Tonight I recovered my starter from the back of my fridge. Poor girl had so much h***h on her. But I got her fed and have started the process to resurrect her.

I can't wait to get back to baking!

We had a great time catching up with many of you at the market this past Saturday l. And now it's back to getting settled into our new role in life.

If you haven't heard the update, we recently bought/took over operations at Skyview Farm and have been diving into to all things dairy and farm life.

We're still passionate about all natural tallow skincare and good homemade food like our sourdough and jams, but we've added fresh raw milk to the mix!

There's no better way to start off a new week than with a big glass of fresh cream top raw milk!

With all the rain and cooler weather our girls are providing an abundance of refreshing milk.

We're open Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturdays 10am to 4pm. Drop ins are welcome, but you can order ahead at www.skyviewfarm.net to have it ready when you get here!

This memorial day, we remember and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom isn't free and ours was paid for by the lives of patriots before us.

It is their sacrifice that makes our way of life possible. We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve our community with real whole food.

Over the past few weeks, some of you may have noticed I’ve been missing from the market more than usual. I wanted to finally share why.

Our family recently purchased Skyview Farm, a local dairy in Pleasanton, KS — and the last two months have been a whirlwind of long days, paperwork, learning curves, early mornings, and trying to keep all the pieces moving at once.

Because of that, I’ve only been able to make it to the market once recently, and I’ll likely be away for a few more weeks while we get settled into this new season.

But I also want everyone to know: The Gulch Life is not going away.

Making tallow skincare and being part of the market community has meant so much to me over the years, and I fully intend to continue the business and return to the market as soon as life steadies out a little bit here at the farm.

Right now we’re just in that messy middle of building something new while trying to hold onto the things we already love.

I’m incredibly grateful for all of you who have checked in and supported this little business over the past few years. I can’t wait to get back to seeing familiar faces at the booth again soon.

Until then, we’ll be over here learning the rhythms of farm and creamery life. 🐄🧀🤍
