It's a beautiful day to venture out to Clayshire Castle Medieval Faire . Step back in time, watch a show, eat a turkey leg, try so e mead and shop at the merchants tents. And yes there is a castle 🏰 you can tour. Huzzah it's Renaissance Faire time!

I get asked all the time at shows if I make what's in my booth. YES, I make all of it. The wind chimes, the mushrooms, the Fairey bells, the earrings and around the holidays the tree ornaments are all made by me. My shop is a 1940's one car garage we (my husband and I) have converted into my studio. We added more electric with its own box, more lighting and storage for the items waiting to be upcycled and security. No its not big enough the floor is cluttered the shelves are overflowing, there are metal shavings and metal dust everywhere, but it's where everything is made by me. Yes the hubby helps when I'm behind or my trigger finger or my back is out from hours of sitting at the work bench. But I make everything. Tell me why is it so hard for men especially to believe that a woman can not use power tools or set up a mini metal shop. By the way I can also cook, bake, sew and all the other things ladies can do. OK rant over, back to making more things for this weekends Faire.

Thank you Simon Kenton Festival. If you went today and couldn't find us, its because Mr Steve had a small medical emergency that sent him to the hospital outside of Cincinnati. He is fine and home. No it was not his heart. Remember to always chew you food 23 times beore swallowing, or you'll end up paying a visit to the Endo department at the hospital. Our next adventure is Clayshire Castle Medieval Faire next weekend, and Mr. Steve is not allowed to order prime rib if we go out to eat.
