A few shots of our Willow project. 8” center cut white oak with a smattering of herringbone. Lightly scraped and contoured for texture and an older world feel. Hand cut mixed grade white oak herringbone with an additional 1200 sq ft long length center cut light character white oak finished in a beautiful color, designed to complement some pretty sweet walnut cabinetry. Hello all,
My name is Ethan, and I am a wood flooring contractor originally from Chicago, re established in Louisville KY, home of bourbon and the Kentucky Derby. I am the proud owner and operator of Broadleaf Hardwoods.

I am the proud son of two incredibly hard working and humble Romanian immigrants, who raised me on the Northshore of Chicago. I entered the trade out of necessity, that quickly turned into a passion and obsession (ask my wife). Hardwood flooring has been an amazing outlet for exercising my love for entrepreneurship and creativity. It has taken me to some incredible places in the world, as well as allowed me to meet people and hear their stories.

I am honored to be invited by my friend to be a part of the movement. We live in polarized times, humanity strained, and our identities compromised. We are all equal, regardless of geography, religion, or background. Change starts at home, within your own community. Our industry is one that is connected on a global scale, craftsmen from all across world talk, learn from each other, and build friendships.

Along with my fellow contributors, we will be individually creating a panel reflecting our skills and unique contributions to the industry.

I would also like to extend an invitation to all of my industry peers to join, and be a part of creating a symbol of unity, spreading joy and kindness, and showing the world what a collective of like minded individuals can accomplish together.

Modified Monticello, sized to fit seamlessly wall to wall, Quartersawn transitions to create clear breaks as the existing floors transition to the pattern, and most importantly, do it in a kitchen designed by . Cheers all

Patterns are a versatile design aspect that can meet many different needs. We hand cut a hand-scraped Monticello using red oak frames to tie in the existing floor, and white oak squares to transition into the new random width white oak floors. Summer highlight of a few unique projects we’ve had the pleasure of being a part of this summer! 300 sq ft of a white oak plain sawn with walnut basketweave, that we designed and sized to the fit the room, finished naturally to highlight the unique color and grain structure. We additionally added on 2,000 sq ft of matching white oak plain sawn long length 3 1/4” through out the rest of the house! Excited to see the space once it’s fully finished!

A properly selected wide width and long length plank floor in your home creates sense of space, flow, and harmony, even in the most traditional of spaces.

We supplied a long length 4” red oak select and better to replace the existing water damaged 2 1/4” floor. Colored to complement the existing staircase, but still give a feeling light and airy.

One last Christmas miracle for a fantastic family. An often overlooked quality of floors, is that they are the blueprint of your home, guiding you from room to room, a blank canvas for your design. Directional change is a great way to bring depth to a home and subtle differentiation from room to room. In this case, we wanted the main foyer to be different, but also provide direction and flow into the rest of the home. Using directional change, I think we accomplished that goal. Merry Christmas all.
