Beams, Mantels & Timbers: The Details That Make a Home Unforgettable 🪵

You can paint walls. You can swap out fixtures. But there's nothing quite like a room with real wood beams overhead — or a hand-crafted mantel that makes the fireplace the centerpiece it was always meant to be.

In this video, follow our team through custom beam, mantel, and timber framing installation — the kind of architectural details that turn a house into a home with a real story.

At Southern Vintage, we've been working with reclaimed wood since the early 1900s. Beams and mantels aren't add-ons for us — they're part of how we think about every space.

What makes ours different:
✔️ Sourced from genuine reclaimed timber with real history
✔️ Hand-finished to bring out natural grain and character
✔️ Custom sized to your exact ceiling height and room dimensions
✔️ Installed clean — no shortcuts, no visible hardware where it doesn't belong

Whether you want a dramatic great room with exposed ceiling beams, a rustic fireplace mantel, or custom timber framing — three generations and we'd love to do it for you.

Kitchen Remodel: Custom Cabinets, From Box to Beautiful 👌

The kitchen is the heart of the home. And when it's time for a change, it deserves more than prefab boxes and a quick install.

In this video, follow our team through a full kitchen renovation — white shaker cabinets, thoughtful layout, clean lines — the kind of kitchen that looks like it's always been there.

At Southern Vintage, cabinetry has been part of our DNA since the early 1900s. We didn't start with flat-packs. We started with reclaimed wood, hand tools, and a standard passed down through three generations of the Allgeier family.

Here's what goes into every kitchen we touch:
✔️ Custom cabinet sizing for your exact space
✔️ Solid construction — not a face frame stapled together
✔️ Layout that accounts for how you cook, not just how it looks
✔️ Every door hung level. The first time.

Whether you're dreaming of a full kitchen overhaul, reclaimed wood open shelving, or custom built-ins — we build it to last.

🚿 Bathroom Renovation: Watch Our Team Take It From Bare Studs to Beautiful

There's something deeply satisfying about watching a room transform — not with shortcuts or prefab materials, but with real craftsmanship and attention to detail.

In this video, you'll follow our team through a complete bathroom renovation from the ground up. Bare studs. Fresh cement board. The kind of methodical work that only comes from a family that's been doing this for over three generations.

At Southern Vintage, people know us for our reclaimed hardwood floors, custom mantels, and hand-crafted cabinetry — but the same standard we bring to every plank of wood, we bring to every tile, fixture, and finish in your home.

This bathroom didn't just need updating. It needed to be done right. That means:
✔️ Proper subfloor prep (the step most contractors skip)
✔️ Quality cement board for a tile-ready surface
✔️ Thoughtful layout planning before a single tile is set
✔️ Finish work built to stand for decades

We're a family business — founded in the early 1900s in Fisherville, KY. John and Jessica Allgeier built this company on one principle: never rush the work. Every project becomes part of someone's home, and we treat it that way.

Whether you're dreaming of reclaimed hardwood floors, a kitchen reno, custom built-ins, or a bathroom that finally works for your family — we'd love to talk.

Some materials just make a room feel more finished before the furniture even arrives.

Reclaimed hardwood is one of them.

It brings warmth, texture, and natural character that new materials often try to imitate but rarely capture.
The saw marks, the grain, the variation from plank to plank — that’s what gives a space depth.

At Southern Vintage, our work is rooted in generations of sanding, finishing, and woodworking experience.
What started in the early 1900s has grown into a family-run source for reclaimed wood flooring, beams, paneling, cabinets, live edge tables, countertops, and more.

We love seeing these materials used in custom homes, remodels, restaurants, offices, and commercial spaces where character matters.

If you’re an architect, builder, designer, contractor, or homeowner planning your next project, reclaimed wood is worth considering early in the design process.
It can shape the whole feeling of the space. 🪵
