What's the fun in making your own food if you cant play around with it?
I present my pizza for tonight. Chicken,bacon,mushroom and pineapple BBQ. I remembered the green peppers to late. Oh well maybe next time!

And thats a wrap for tonight. 7 qts of chicken broth and 10 pints of pepper mustard!!
Did you guess pepper mustard?

This is my first time making it. I'm kind of excited to see how it turns out and perfect my method. There was just a tad bit left over when I finished filling the jars so I'll be able to give it a test before we open the first jars!!

Well we have hit the time of year hoodie weather!! This is definitely my favorite time of year. My hoodie collection is pretty extensive.
I do keep a group of thats safety yellow ones. We live next to a guy who hunts and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
That and I don't trust people!!

Well I ran a little short tonight. Mitch separated out all the banana and cubanelle peppers but I ran out of steam and time before getting to them they'll wait until tomorrow luckily.

What do you think I'm making with them tomorrow?

Cheeses are now drying.

I will say forever that good food takes time. I do love watching these cheeses come together, but they are a process.
Just for instance the initial process of these 2 cheeses each take about 6 hrs. Then there is pressing which can take up to another day. Then drying which take 24 to 72 hrs. After drying is the curing.
Curing is the longest, taking 2 months to 1 yr depending on the cheese.
Both of these wheels will be done around Christmas. This is just part of the process of preparing your own food. I am prepping food now for our Christmas table.
