A birthday gift made with turkey bones and feathers. I love the iridescence of the smaller feathers!

A friend of mine gifted me this lovely twisty stick a couple years ago (yes, I'm that kind of person), and I finally made something beautiful out of it. Made with deer and rabbit bones, turkey feathers, dried apple and orange, and a cinnamon stick, this piece was made to bring bounty and prosperity.

Got everyone moved indoors for the winter. 2 🐍, 1 🦊, 2 🦝, 1 🐿, 1🦡, parts of 1🐻, 🐖 parts, and many🦌 parts.

The heater allows for the maceration process to continue despite frigid temperatures that would otherwise shut down bacteria activity.

Finished 😁 I love the colors in this one, and the contrast of the white bones 😍

Just finished trimming all the loose ends and tweaking angles on loops to make it hang correctly. This piece will be off to it's forever home on Monday.

Elk jaw and tooth, partial deer ribs and vertebrae, pearls, moonstone, and aquamarine with macaw feathers.

Getting close on this elk jaw piece. Gotta do some drilling, some painting, and some leather wrapping. Then ship it to it's new home.

Elk mandible and tooth, deer rib heads and partial vertebrae. Aquamarine, moonstone, and pearls: the customer's birthstones. And some stunning macaw feathers from a friend's beloved - but molting - pet. All put together with brass wire and chain.

After the bunny box, I've decided that memorial boxes are definitely a thing I need to do more of. It feels right. To honor the animal and restore an idea vitality and personality to their remains in a way that people can love and appreciate. I won't include all of the animal's bones in each box, some I'll keep. But each animal had a life before I found them, and it feels necessary to give some sort of homage to this.

So here's a few sketches of boxes to come. Once I finish reconstructing the crushed cat skull, he will continue to cause mischief in his box. The smaller kitty will dream twitchy hunter dreams on a soft pillow. The baby raccoon will gush over her shiny treasure collection. And the sun will always warm their fur.

This sun catcher is a graduation gift. 🦌 rib, 🐈‍⬛ vertebrae, and 🐍 vertebrae with dyed quartz, carnelian, garnet, citrine, and a few cultured pearls. It's glorious in the sun, all glittering, and glowing fire 😍

After the 2 juvenile 🐇🐇, I swore I'd never try to put together another skull/skeleton from pieces. But here I am with this 🐈‍⬛. He was hit by a car in an industrial area, had no collar, and likely no one to mourn him. So I'm doing my best to piece him together bit by frustrating bit. I'm very thankful to have another 🐱💀 in excellent condition to work from.

Maybe I'll make a pretty woodburned box for him like I did the bunnies.
