Well… early this morning I got a little creative. 🐔

Meet my first Perched Hen Pincushion! Made from an old quilt cutter and perched on two wooden dowels to keep her standing tall.

I love finding ways to give old textiles a new purpose, and I have to admit—I’m pretty smitten with how she turned out.

So tell me… is she a one-of-a-kind hen, or do I need to make her some friends? 😄”

Is anyone out doing the 400 mile yard sale across Kentucky right now!? It runs from today, June 4 to Sunday, June 7th all along Historic Hwy 68. I am missing it right now 😕. If you are out, send me pictures of your finds so I can live vicariously through you! 😜

Nothing like a woman on a mission. I’ve had some of you ask for an update..

Caught up with the cyclist this morning cutting through parking lots like it’s his personal shortcut highway 😄 I swear that little bo**er had turbo mode engaged 🚴‍♂️💨

Just a reminder—be aware of others, and when you can… choose kindness. Small moments of kindness go a long way.

We’re all just trying to get somewhere.

It may not be the most popular opinion, but my favorite Christmas dishes will always be Pfaltzgraff Sugar Plum. 🎄💜

There's just something about the soft colors and whimsical design that feels like Christmas to me.

Now I'm curious... what are your favorite Christmas dishes?

Share yours in the comments! 🎅✨

When I spotted these little blue crackle glass pitchers at the thrift store, I had a feeling... 💙

Brought them home, flipped on the black light, and sure enough—you know what that means! 💚✨

Nothing beats that moment when a thrift find turns into glowing uranium glass.

Would you have guessed it?

One of my latest thrifted treasures is this vintage Amitone antacid tin, likely from the 1950s. 🩵

I know it's an odd thing to get excited about, but I can't resist old advertising tins. The graphics, the typography, the history—it's all part of the charm. This little beauty will earn a spot on my bathroom cabinet shelf alongside a few other vintage finds.

And the best part? It wasn't empty! As a bonus, it was packed full of tiny drill bits.

So tell me... would you have grabbed it, or am I the only one rescuing vintage antacid tins from the thrift store? 😂

With graduation season here, I wanted to share one of my favorite party ideas from a few years ago.

For my daughter's graduation party, I repurposed a few old pallets into low-profile tables and created a cozy bohemian-style seating area. We tossed down some blankets, floor cushions, and let the kids have their own space away from all the adults gathered on the patio.

It ended up being one of the most popular spots at the party. They laughed, reminisced, took photos, and shared some of their last high school rah-hahs together before heading off in different directions.

Sometimes the simplest DIY projects create the best memories. If you've got a graduation party coming up and a few pallets lying around, this might be a fun way to give the graduates a space of their own.

Do you have any favorite graduation party ideas you would love to share?

This was one of my favorite thrifted transformations I did a few years ago.
Yes, I “painted” it. 😊 I wanted more of a distinct farmhouse look.
