It all started by helping out some friends who had a wreath business for 30 years. When they no longer were able to make wreaths, the decision was made to venture out and build a new business independently. What was gained from that initial experience of wreath making was that each customer has their own ideas and expectations. We at Whispering Pines create wreaths that cater that idea. We are not
a “cookie cutter” business where every wreath looks the same, but rather we try to go outside the box and create a unique look. One thing that stands out with Whispering Pines is how the wreath looks overall. We hand cut all the boughs, assemble, and hammer them into solid rings that creates a beautifully full wreath. We then take the time to create a color combination that coordinates with the bow to make a one of a kind wreath for the customer. We take pride in what we do and it is out hope that we create a sense of joy and nostalgia for the customer. About The Owners:

I was once told that I am an old soul. The more I think about that statement, the more I totally agree. I often think back to my childhood and going to downtown Columbus and walking into a store where everyone knew my parents. They would chat about life and how things were going. It seemed back then, that everyone had time to listen to each other and had a personal connection. That is what I want with our customers, a personal connection to be able to produce a product that they would be proud to display. If you stop by our workshop, please pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee, sit next to the wood burning stove, and make yourself at home. David Hahn
All through my childhood, I can remember the times around the holidays, especially Christmas, as very memorable and important to me. I always enjoyed the times spent with family and friends with all the colors and lights. Some of my best Christmas memories come from my grandparent’s farm located not too far from Whispering Pines in Reeseville. I remember helping with chores and seeing the animals and the smell of the barns. I also loved the smell of the wood burning stove in the house and all the food prepared for the family dinner. The Christmas tree was real and was always one that was cut from somewhere on their farm. Those memories will stay with me forever. That is something that we are trying to create here at Whispering Pines. We create beautiful wreaths in a place that has some of that rural atmosphere that truly brings me back to my childhood memories. The hope is that our wreaths will create a lasting impression with our customers for their own holiday memories. About Whispering Pines:
Living in the country and having a sense of connection to the rural experience is important as we both have grown up being exposed to this setting. Since living here, we have worked hard at trying to restore and bring life back into this old farmstead that we believe was started in 1869. Since living here, we have adopted, raised, and sold many varieties of chickens, pheasants, peacocks, quail, sheep, a Nubian goat, miniature donkeys, fainting goats, pot-bellied pigs and “Diana” our rescue Holstein cow . We both love taking care of all our animals and have a sense of pride when showing them to family, friends, and visitors. We also have a diverse apple orchard with many varieties of apples, and also Asian pears, which we sell and also make into cider. Living here has truly provided us a sense of respite from our jobs and the busy world.
