From bowls and plates, ornaments, to keychains, bottle openers, pens and sculpture; My Lathe work offers opportunity to make pieces that are never exactly alike. As promised, 11x16 cherry cutting/bread board with black walnut accent. 1 5/8 thick with chamfered edges to give it a floating appearance. Finished with butcher block oil/wax.

Finished a toasted cherry cutting board and walnut wall plaque tonight.
Tomorrow I'll post an 11x16 cherry cutting board with walnut accent.

Weather was nice so figured could disappear while in the shop. Got glue up done on a cherry cutting board project, got hinge recesses cut on a figured walnut box project, tested out some laser designs, and figured since I was on a roll why not put on another lacquer coat for a table-topper project?
The Fates are still entertained by me...that last project went well until the "Mrs." Decided to literally split when falling from the hanger...that sets me back about a day but all in all was relaxing.

3.75 inch diameter medallions to celebrate 250 years of our Nation.
Made from walnut, cherry, oak and walnut with an acrylic center.
Reverse features facsimile of the preamble to the Constitution.
Included is a hardwood stand made from same woods.
13 total will be available this week 9.00 each

Been quiet, but admittedly all the winning has made business slow, even special requests.
Below is a project just finished. White oak, black walnut trim, custom moulding around the bottom. Lid oak is bookmatched and walnut bottom.
Really enjoyed the project and have lumber waiting for more

Was going through old photos of past projects. This one is last of a bird series I did.
I drive by a grove of sycamore on way to work and for a while would regularly see either a hawk or eagle(can't tell while driving) in the mornings up in the tops. Kinda stuck with me so didn't have heart to sell this one
