End of Season Sale is On - starts Thursday, October 8th. If you know you know. All yarn is at least 30% off. Like last year, we will be collecting non-perishable items for our local food pantry. Please bring an item to help us with this cause. Days and hours are posted - ten days to take advantage of these great prices and to stock up for winter knitting. Dog and Kitty section 10% off. Note - Handknits and local artisan items not included. However, I will be raffling off a set of beautiful ornaments handmade locally by Kassandra Holmes. These ornaments are so lovely. Last day for the sale will be Saturday, October 24th. Halloween - Shop will not be open but we will be there for the Water Street Trick or Treat. Wags and Wool will be closed Thursday, October 1st as I head out to the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival. Just because I all ready do not have enough yarn. The lovely Jessica will be in the shop this Friday and Saturday from 11 to 4. Then - get your canned goods and non -perishables ready. End of season sale starts Thursday, October 8th and will run for a couple of weekends. Like last year, bring us a donation for our local food pantry in Lubec and you will enjoy a nice discount on your purchases. Details to follow early next week. Have been waiting for three months to bring these out until the weather changed and our thoughts turn to other things. These lovely ornaments are handcrafted by local artist Kassandra Holmes and they must be seen in person to really appreciate. As someone who used to own 7 golden retrievers I am smitten with Santa and the golden puppy. They come in sets but you can always break them up and give them out individually. Great way to decorate a Christmas present. Disclaimer - the Eagles ones are not for sale - HAHA. SOLD to the Wags Proprietor. I still have a few more to unpack and there may be some more local teams! Stay tuned. They really are very nice and I always enjoy helping a local Lubec artist who also does a lot for this community- particularly in her efforts to always fundraise for those in need. I have limited space in here but these are perfect. Come check them out!

Schedule for Thursday, September 24th. Wags and Wool is open 11 to 4 but just a little heads up. I have a dental appointment in Machias at 9:10. Said will last an hour and these folks usually run on time. That should get me back to Lubec on time to open at 11 but if you were planning on the morning maybe shoot for 11:30 just in case. Thanks so much for your understanding - and wish me luck - cleaning, x-rays and exam -ugh! A necessary evil - but all of the staff are very nice there - no reflection on them.😀

Tis the time of the year to switch to Fall hours. Wags and Wool will be open Thursdays through Saturdays 11am to 4pm. Sundays will be by chance depending on the NFL schedule. If the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t playing at 1:00 on Sundays very likely I will be in the shop - all of you that enjoy watching football will understand. And for the NE Patriot fans out there I only have three Patriot bracelets left. If you want to up your outfit on game day this is the perfect accessory. I have a few of my own - only in different colors😀. As always thank you everyone for your support of this little yarn shop. And if I am not open and you are in town please give me a call - I am always happy to meet you if I am around - I only live two blocks away so not a problem. Happy Knitting as we ease into Fall!🎃

Happy August! Wanted to share this pattern by local designer Rhonda Craven. Looks like a great pattern and it is made with Briggs & Little Regal. We have stocked this yarn for 18 years nows and it never disappoints. Great sweater yarn. We just did a restock thanks to Maritime Family Fiber - a very local company run by Rhonda’s daughter Lacie. And it truly is a family effort - Lacie’s husband Dave (model for this pattern) always hand delivers the yarn to Wags!

This pattern comes with two different types of collars. Both are included in this pattern.

Ellie went missing from her home on Lively Brook Road (in close proximity to Coco Mountain Trail) in Whiting sometime on 7/17/26. Ellie is a 30 lb, female, black lab mix, all black in color and wearing a hot pink collar. She is 8 months old and described as friendly but DO NOT CHASE. Please call Sierra with any sightings at 207-214-9563
