Après-ski season is almost here, and we’re already looking forward to weekends spent in the mountains. ❄️

Many of the homes we design are second homes, a place for our clients to escape their everyday routines, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy everything Vermont has to offer.

For this Stratton Mountain bedroom, we wanted to create a restful retreat with soft textures, warm layers, and all the comforts of home.

Whether it’s a weekend on the slopes or a longer stay in the mountains, we believe your home away from home should feel every bit as welcoming as your primary residence.

A beautiful reminder that simplicity says it all. 🌿

Framed by sweeping mountain views and a reflective pond, this Mountain Reflection Retreat settles naturally into its landscape, balancing modern precision with the warmth of farmhouse influence.

Texture has a way of becoming the focal point without asking for attention. This woven pendant was the perfect addition to this space.

A little color, considered. When choosing color, we often look to nature for inspiration. 🕊️

Deep forest green is one of those shades that feels inherently timeless, bringing richness and depth to a space while still feeling calm and grounded.

How do you feel about green in the kitchen?

This is proof that original details deserve their moment. We wanted to preserve the character of the existing wood ceiling, allowing its natural warmth and texture to ground the space while honoring the home’s original design.

From concept to completion, we’re there every step of the way. Our approach is calm, personal, and intentionally paced. 🌱

We take the time to understand each client, how they live, and what they want their home to feel like, allowing the design process to unfold with clarity and care.

With decades of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of both design and construction, our team works closely with architects, builders, and artisans to carry the vision through every stage of the process.

This is especially important in mountain homes, where climate, materials, structure, and the way a home lives within its surroundings all play a role.

Nothing is templated. Every home we design is approached individually and thoughtfully.

A little look inside the Presidential Suite at Skaneateles Fields Resort & Spa. 💫

We loved taking inspiration from everything that makes the Finger Lakes so special. The goal for Skaneateles Fields was to create a place that felt warm, welcoming, and connected to its surroundings. We brought in natural materials, organic textures, and local craftsmanship, with plenty of thoughtful details throughout.

From the guest rooms to the gathering spaces, we wanted it to feel like somewhere you could truly settle in, slow down, and stay awhile.

That fall feeling is in the air. 🍂

One of our favorite things about a new season is how a few simple changes can make home feel completely refreshed. A layered tablescape, warmer textures, a few branches brought in from outside. It doesn’t take much to welcome fall in.

For seasonal pieces we love, our sister brand madeforthemountains has everything you need to bring a little mountain warmth home.

What are you most excited to bring back out for fall?
