Graveside services for Norma Sue Sue-z Drake Nerren, 88, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1100 a.m. in the Paul Nerren Cemetery with Reverend Martin Doran officiating. Mrs. Nerren was born January 10, 1934 in Houston, Texas to the late Fannie Kate Hansbro and Howard Edwin

A little history of Paul Nerren’s Junkbarn: About 40 years ago Paul worked at the Lufkin paper mill. He and my mom loved to go to flea markets (Canton) & garage sales, so his coworkers knew he would go to Canton and would ask him to pick up items for them. But instead of just buying one he would buy dozens or so filling up the van, so they started selling at Local Flea Markets with the help of my brother Phillip Nerren and I. The inventory grew so they rented a building at 707 north Timberland Drive. We were in that building for a few years when my dad heard about property at 4500 was for sale and here we are 31 years later. 6 years ago I took over the business and became caregiver for both my parents. My dad just recently passed away. We have Closed so we can finish moving items because of the I 69 construction coming. I am taking a break from the Junk Barn while all of the construction is going on.
