Every. Project. Begins. With. A. Plan.
I have had those words in my head to create this post for a while now. During this recent project, I made a point to try to capture all of the phases to share.
Ultimately, the message is nothing is haphazard. We treat every staging project just as we do our design projects, which is what makes us stand out from the average stager. (BTW, we recently heard a story about cardboard furniture, yikes! 😬)
Here is a quick summary of how each of our staging projects goes down:
- Initial contact made by Realtor/Homeowner
- Proposal phase: Site review, via photos/video or in-person, draft intended inventory and provide inspo photos and/or floorplans (if there is a tricky space we are being called in to solve for)
- Once we are awarded the project, we start planning and preparing. Scheduling trucks, obtaining COIs, reserving elevators, etc., whatever is needed depending on the project site.
- Strategy call with RE partner to discuss target demographic, launch timeline and any other important details we should know
- If our initial site review was completed remotely, we now go onsite to take photos, measurements, and assess access points (driveways, doorways, elevators, etc.)
- Design Phase: Develop an inspo board to set the aesthetic for the project, create design boards to select some of the items we will use for the project, we pull from photos in the warehouse, previous stagings or even the photos when we purchased the items (thank God for iPhone albums!), and then determine if the project needs anything new and/or special
- Install and bring the project to life!
All of the above can take place over the course of 3 days or several months, all depends on the marketing strategy of our RE partner/developer/homeowner. But, the average is 1-2 weeks from first contact to install.
Are you working with a professional stager that handles everything from the contractor punch list to stopping in to re-water the fresh flowers for the open house? If not, give us a call. We would love to talk about your next project!
