ALL THINGS WEATHERED

Welcome to our new FACEBOOK site. We enjoy doing outdoor shows during the spring and summer months. We specialize in antiques of all kinds: primitive and collectible. I have a love for these items and have grown up around antiques my whole life, thanks to my grandparents. In my childhood years, they would always go to auctions on the weekends and allow my sister and myself to

go through the boxes and pick out our favorite items. From that time on, I have had a love for collecting and selling. Although we sell in the warmer weather months, I am addicted to buying all year around. So I have developed this site to sell what we have bought over the winter months. Seems there is never enough room for all the items I think has a history or appeal to someone or we (I) just like it, so hence, ALL THINGS WEATHERED, has come into being. I will post here often the wonderful, vintage, antique items that we have bought. Each summer we do about 10 shows and we also have a fun and creative sale at our home near Lynnville, Iowa. At this sale we bring out all the wonderful things that we have accumulated. My motto is, I only buy what I like, and I love all the old, unique and usable items, and if not, surely it can be repurposed. I also have acquired a passion to refinish, restore, and repurpose. We currently have about 2 buildings full, plus, whatever my husband allows me to bring into the house. (My car won’t fit in the garage either!) Please “like” us on FACEBOOK and get the first notifications of the really great and WEATHERED items that we bring home. We promise the fun and unusual, the items that need to be brought back to life. Remember, nothing is made now like it used to be then. Thanks for reading and check back often…

I survived my 1st What Cheer Flea Market without my husband, partner and best friend, but not without a few tears. Couldn't have done it without help from some great people. Rick and Renee Cox, for getting my motorhome there, helping with the tent. David Nikkel and Karleah Nikkel for 4 days of help, Kristin Lewis and Steven Lewis for helping with packup, Julie McAnallyfor helping on Saturday and Kayla Kingma for encouraging me each day with pictures of my newest granddaughter with sweet messages, that helped get me through each day. I have a special neighborhood at the flea market. All the people who checked on me many times, to make sure I was doing okay or offering help. Just amazing. There are some pretty special people in this world. Love you all.
