A finished space is only one part of the story.

From the earliest conceptual stage to final installation, every detail of this kitchen was considered. Rich coffered wood ceilings and warm hardwood floors frame the space with balanced architectural character, while floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, marble countertops, and brass accents offer timeless elegance.

Thoughtfully designed spaces take time, a little trust in the process, and plenty of construction dust.

Our approach to artwork curation and procurement begins with what already holds meaning. Sometimes that means thoughtfully repurposing or relocating pieces from a client’s existing collection; other times, it means working with an artist or sourcing new work that feels naturally connected to the story of the space.

It’s never simply about filling a wall. It’s about creating a relationship between the art, the architecture, and the people who experience the space.

Blackened blue green cabinetry sets the mood, while a jewel-toned green mosaic backsplash catches the light. Add in the warmth of a hammered copper sink, and this functional space becomes a moment on its own.

Perch at Oliver’s - a thoughtfully curated, private dining space right in the heart of downtown Macon.

Intentionally designed in celebration of art and the building’s original architecture, Perch draws inspiration from an 1899 woodblock print, “Cockatoo and Pomegranate,” by Arts and Crafts artist Walter Crane. The artwork is reimagined throughout the space, bringing playful vibrancy to the table.

Organic materiality provides a grounding sense of intimacy while rich colors set an elegant tone. Perfect for milestone moments and exclusive events, our mission was to set the stage for an exceptional private experience.

Imagine an afternoon spent here with nowhere to be.

Soft sage, powdery pinks, and Lee Jofa’s Fawn Luzon Paper wrap this guest room in a quiet sense of ease. Suddenly the chaos of the world feels just a little further away.

A room like this doesn’t ask for much. Perhaps just a good book, a cup of tea… and permission to linger a little longer.

The “fisland” serves as the heart of Historic Macon Foundation’s archives, housing generations of historic property records and playing a central role in our rehabilitation of the space.

Beyond these records being a symbol of preservation, they’re a resource for the community. If you own a historic property, did you know you can visit Historic Macon Foundation to research its history, previous owners, architectural details, and more?

It’s one of the many ways this building continues to connect Macon’s past with the people caring for its future.

Set within a historic residence transformed into a welcoming law office, this space preserves the character of the original property while bringing a fresh, eccentric perspective to modern workplace design.

Warm wood cabinetry, a vibrant runner, and an unexpected blue island bring rich personality to a space designed that serves the present without losing sight of the past.

Preservation means navigating the details behind the scenes. Understanding code requirements, coordinating permits, meeting safety standards, documenting the right information, and making sure a rehabilitation qualifies for the tax credits and incentives that can make these projects possible for our clients.

That was a major part of our work on the Historic Macon Foundation headquarters, where an old fire hall was carefully rehabilitated for a new chapter of use.

The requirements were more than simply making the space feel beautiful. This project called for preserving what mattered, bringing the building safely and thoughtfully into the present, and working within the requirements that help protect the space for the future.

A successful preservation project is equal parts design, stewardship, problem-solving, and a whole lot of details behind the scenes.

We’re still feeling energized after an incredible two days surrounded by 35+ women who understand the work, the challenges, and the opportunities that come with this industry.

Last week, we had the opportunity to connect with women from across Middle Georgia and Athens, build inspiring new relationships, and explore fascinating projects thanks to Athens Area Women in Construction and Women Who Build Together, hosted by Sheridan Construction.

From touring local projects and the Cherokee Brick factory to sharing a table together at Perch at Oliver’s, a project of our own, we loved getting to know so many talented women shaping the built environment across our region.

We left encouraged and excited to keep building these relationships… and hopefully building a few things together along the way!

Thank you to all of the individuals and organizations who helped curate such a meaningful experience.
