Last year I started canning my Roma tomatoes for homemade tomato sauce. It’s now become a necessity in my home 😊

First, I wash them really well to get all of the dirt off, and then I boil them for about 3 minutes to help loosen the skin.

I put the warm tomatoes through my strainer and I actually will take the scraps and run them through 2 more times. You’d be amazed how much “meat” you get out of them!

Then I simmer the sauce for about 2-3 hours until it becomes thicker or the consistency you prefer.

Then I boil the jars I use to can. Fill them with fresh basil from my garden and the sauce. Be careful not to overfill, it shouldn’t go past the first lip or ridge of the jar. Clean the rim off with distilled vinegar to ensure a clean seal. Then tighten the lid, only finger tip tightness. Then place the jars in the water with the lid on (turn your burner/stove off at this point). For me it only takes 4-5 minutes. Then take them out and let them cool!

Thanks for watching and have a great day!

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Every season of life has a purpose. Some seasons bring joy, and some bring growth. Even the painful seasons are not meaningless. God can meet us in the silence, the uncertainty, and the tears, shaping strength within us when we feel weakest.

If you are walking through a difficult season right now, your pain is real—and you do not have to pretend otherwise. But this chapter is not the whole story. The nights may feel long, but they will not last forever. Little by little, you are being carried, strengthened, and prepared for brighter days ahead.

Trust God’s timing. Keep going. Keep believing.

You’re going to make it through this season—and one day, you’ll look back and understand why you had to walk through it.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27

Being blessed isn’t about having a perfect life, but about God carrying you through it.
It’s about every situation that was meant to break me.
Every moment that could have destroyed me.
Every season I thought I wouldn’t make it through.
God was there through all of it.

He didn’t promise I would never face hard things. He promised I would never face them alone.

What was meant to destroy me became part of my testimony.
What was meant to break me only made me stronger.

So yes, I’m blessed.
Not because my life has been perfect, but because God has never stopped holding me through it all. 🙏🏻🤍
