Even though the Miss & Mister Global competition has ended, I would like to ask out of pure curiosity to gain a better understanding of the Miss & Mister Global Hmong stage (with no intention of causing drama or conflict).

Are the organizers and sponsors for the Miss Hmong and Mister Hmong divisions under the same organization/team, or are they managed separately?

This is meant to serve as a guide for Hmong individuals around the world who dream of becoming representatives in future years.

If anyone has information, advice, or insights to share, please feel free to do so.

Thank you!

Even though Yang Youa Vang was not selected in the judges’ Top 25 initial cut and finished #2 in the global popular vote with more than 8.6 million votes, she will unfortunately not advance to the final rounds, as only the #1 popular vote winner receives the automatic fast-track entry.

Yes, it is heartbreaking and disappointing from a competition standpoint. We hoped to see her name called, to watch her shine even brighter, and to witness another beautiful moment of Hmong representation on the international stage. But her journey is so much bigger than a placement, a crown, or the results of one competition. ❤️

Yang Youa Vang has already accomplished something truly meaningful. She stepped onto a global stage, carried her identity with grace, and gave the world another opportunity to see a Hmong woman standing with confidence, beauty, and pride. More than 8.6 million votes are not just numbers on a screen. They represent the love, hope, unity, and unwavering support of people who believe in her and in what she represents.

Look at Yang Youa’s journey and see what is possible when a Hmong woman dares to step beyond the boundaries of what others may expect of her. Let her courage inspire you to believe that your voice deserves to be heard, your talents deserve to be seen, and your dreams deserve a place on the world stage.

We need more Hmong women and men who are willing to step forward—not only in beauty pageants, but also in education, leadership, business, science, the arts, and every international platform where our stories can be shared. We need the next generation to rise with confidence, prepare themselves, develop their talents, and open doors for those who will come after them.

To our Hmong community, especially our young Hmong women: please do not let this moment become a reason to lose hope. Let it become a reason to dream even bigger. 🌸

The world cannot understand our people if it never gets the chance to know us.

Yang Youa, thank you for representing our people and giving us a reason to stand together with pride. You have already done a wonderful job reaching this global stage, and we are incredibly proud of you. Your journey matters. Your courage matters. And the doors you help open for the next generation matter more than you may ever know.

One person’s courage can inspire a generation. One generation’s courage can introduce an entire people to the world.

Let us keep rising. Let us keep supporting one another. And let us continue showing the world the beauty, strength, and brilliance of the Hmong people. 🌎❤️

Many people may feel that Anthony’s answer during the Q&A round was not entirely on point. However, if we try to put ourselves in the shoes of someone standing on that stage, we may begin to understand the major challenge that the audience might not have noticed.

🎙️ The Sound Challenge That Viewers at Home May Not Realize

The audio on stage may not be as clear as it sounds on screen. While the audience in the venue and viewers watching at home can hear the host’s microphone clearly, contestants standing on stage may struggle to hear the questions properly.

Trying to understand the question under pressure. Contestants must quickly process the host’s words while dealing with crowd noise, cheering, and echoes throughout the hall. We can see that several contestants had to ask the host to repeat the question or lean forward and tilt their heads to listen more carefully.

🧠 Understanding Anthony’s Situation

In Anthony’s case, it is possible that he only caught a few key phrases, such as “never done” or the final words related to “success.” With very little time to process the question and only fragments of the audio to rely on, he may have quickly formulated the answer “Never Give Up.”

If that was indeed what happened, his response may have reflected a partial understanding of the question rather than his actual ability to think critically or express himself. Unfortunately, this may have contributed to a lower score in the Q&A category, which is truly disappointing.

📝 I have a Suggestion for the Organizing Team

To ensure fairness and minimize misunderstandings caused by audio difficulties, the organizing team could provide contestants with a printed question card to read while the host asks the question aloud.

This simple adjustment would allow contestants to hear and read the question at the same time, helping them understand the topic more accurately and giving everyone a fairer opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.

Of course, we cannot know for certain whether audio difficulties were the main reason behind Anthony’s response. However, it is worth considering how stage conditions can affect a contestant’s performance.

💬 What do you think about this situation?
Do you believe providing contestants with written question cards would make the Q&A round fairer? Let’s share our thoughts respectfully in the comments! 👇
