Taking a break from nursery production for a few weeks to get some much needed yard work done (before it gets too hot!) and to enjoy watching my birds. I had had my purple martin house up for 3 years and I finally have my first ones settled in. Yea!!

Have a bunch of cuttings going for next spring. Might have a few ready for fall. Yes, some take that long to reach big enough to be full. Hopefully the rosemary will be ready for fall

I am often asked if I spray my herbs. My answer is yes, but only when necessary, and only for individual plant problems. Here is an example. I have 1 sweet marjoram with spider mites. I will spray that 1 only and separate it from the others. The ones with no mite problems will not be sprayed. Pictures show 3 plants. 1with, and 2 without mites. The second Pic shows the mites on the affected plant. They are very small! Notice how the leaves on the affected plant look a little fuzzy and white. This is a classic indication of spider mites.
I love and encourage my pollinators and use no weedkillers at all. Or pesticides except for individual necessities.

I will be there! Have a few things that were not ready earlier.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Flea Across Florida this Friday and Saturday, April 10th and 11th from 8-3. I will be at my usual location, 3206 Hwy 90, Madison. I've got some beautiful plants ready for their new homes! There are several other vendors there and it is definitely worth the stop!

So happy to see my butterflies after our cold winter. This is a giant eastern swallowtail laying her eggs on a rue plant. I think. If I'm wrong, corrections welcome! Lol. I'm sure of the plant, but not the butterfly.

OK, folks. Here's the deal. My daughter is having my first grandchild and is due to arrive on March 17th. She is my priority. I am still getting plants ready and going. But cannot commit to events I may not be able to attend. I will be at my usual place at Flea Across Florida on April 10-11th. I feel safe, time wise, and have signed up for Down Home Days in Madison, April 18th,. Meantime. I will have pepper and other things available in 2 weeks. and will be willing to meet you conveniently to deliver to you. Madison to live oak, and in between. And on the Greenville end too.

Have been in the plant business since 1990. Moved to herb production around 2015. Have been growing citronella for years, and knew they are in the geranium family. For the first time, ever. The ones I am overwintering are blooming! After 35 years, still seeing something new!
