Welcoming Black History month! ✊🏾🖤🩷 This month, BLack Girl Mugs will be recognizing Black women’s contributions to the now 100th year of acknowledging Black History as an educational right of passage.
In 1926, Carter G. Woodson along with the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History first recognized Black History Week to teach segregated schools of Frederick Douglas’ life work.
It is from these great leaders, Black women were also able to forge paths ahead as great leaders across many indistries.
Follow along as we highlight Black women who have astoundingly inspired hope, freedom, and justice for our Black girls to thrive today!
