Our store is located directly across from the Madison County Courthouse on the west side of the square. We specialize in antiques, vintage items, collectibles, furniture, tools, gifts, pictures, paintings, art, historical items, and so much more. We are in Downtown Madisonville, Texas. Larkin "Chautauqua Desk No. 45" Secretary - beautiful oak secretary with beveled mirror and display areas made by Larkin Soap Company early 1910s. 60"h x 36"w $275
Larking Soap Company - the original Amway. In the late 1800's, the Larking Soap Company designed "The Larkin Idea" which implemented Factory to Family sales. Ladies and children could sell soap door to door and earn "Premiums" or points. When they collected 10 Premiums, they could trade them in for the Chautauqua Desk #45.
