Dragonfly’s Dance

I’ve always loved crafts. I’ve made everything from macrame, to cross stitch, to ceramics to wine bottle wind chimes, to deco mesh wreaths with everything inbetween, including painted gourds, painted burlap door hangers and garden signs, jewelry, wood crafts and now leather jewelry and silicone teethers. Seven years ago I did my first craft show in Greenville, Kentucky with the help of my nine-year-old friend, Hilary. The rest is history. Since then, I’ve come a very long way. Hilary outgrew me, so my best friend, Phyllis, joined me. We love to come up with ideas of what to make, shop for supplies and share the finished products with each other for advice and approval. Together we make a large variety of items and have many fun, exhausting, friend-making, food-eating, profitable times. We’ve bought tents, tarps, a trailor, many tables and table cloths, lighting, displays, stands, racks, power tools and tons and tons and tons of totes and supplies. I even built a she shed to house it all...except the trailor of course.

We have learned to limit our shows to larger ones where we can make it worth our time and trouble, but we both sell lots of items from our homes and my she-shed. I keep items on display for anyone who wants to come and shop - by appointment, and I advertise regularly on Facebook. I also sell on Etsy at dragonflysdance.etsy.com. Overall, craft making keeps us busy and provides hours and hours of entertainment for both of us. Making money is an added bonus.
