August always feels like the time to squeeze in those last summer moments and soak up what's left.
Even if you're not rushing to beach weekends anymore, the energy of this season can be contagious. There is a sense of peace in enjoying an ending while mentally preparing for a new beginning.
And... it feels like a great time to refresh your space with artwork, if I may say so.

Today's artwork is called, “StarBurst Child.”
24"W X 12"H X 1.5"D. Acrylic on Canvas.
Starburst Child was inspired when I witnessed the most beautiful explosion of light and bright colors coming in through the window of my childhood home. I was visiting my Mom, and staying in the room I grew up in. During an extra sentimental moment, the sun hit a crystal that was hanging in the window (that I had forgotten about) in a way that I had never witnessed. It felt like an angel brought a star filled with love and burst the star, filling the room with the most playful, magical colors of light dancing and flooding my childhood home. I tried to capture the playful, happy, beautiful vibrancy of the moment using florescent paint that matched the visual experience with rich gold acrylics adding further depth and angelic resonance.
