One thing people don't always see is how much product testing happens before something ever makes it to our market table.
A new product might look simple, but behind the scenes there can be weeks of testing, tweaking, and sometimes completely starting over. The flavor might be perfect, but the texture isn't. The texture might be right, but the shelf life isn't. Sometimes a product tastes amazing on day one, then changes after a few days.
And sometimes... a beautiful color turns into something that looks completely unappetizing.
Nature doesn't always cooperate with our plans.
A pretty pink might oxidize into a dull tan. A vibrant color can fade, darken, or change entirely. We've had products that tasted wonderful but looked so questionable that there was no way we'd put them on our market table.
Before we offer something for sale, we test it, use it, taste it, observe it, and take notes. Then we make adjustments and do it all over again. We want every product we bring to market to be something we'd proudly serve to our own family.
Not every experiment becomes a product, and honestly, some ideas are much better in theory than reality. But every now and then, one comes together exactly the way we hoped.
Let's just say there has been a lot of testing happening around here lately... and if everything keeps heading in the right direction, you may be seeing something new from Three Little Goats Homestead very soon. 👀
Until then, we'll keep testing, tweaking, and making sure it's worthy of a spot on our table.
