There will be a FREE concert on Saturday, August 22nd, at 7 PM at Sinistral Brewing in Old Town Manassas. We hope this is the most successful donation drive yet! There are so many in need, we are ready to help.

Man of the people.

Erling Haaland has donated one of Norway's rarest printed books to the public after buying it for about $134,000 at auction.

The book is a 1594 printed edition of Heimskringla, the medieval collection of Norwegian kings' sagas written by Snorri Sturluson.

It became the most expensive book ever sold in Norway.

Instead of keeping it in a private collection, Haaland and his father donated it to the library in Bryne, the town where he grew up.

The book will be placed on permanent display, and Haaland asked that it remain open so visitors can read from it. The donation is also linked to a reading initiative for local students.

A book that has survived for more than 400 years could have disappeared into a private collection.

Instead, it will stay in the community where Haaland grew up, giving more people the chance to experience a rare piece of Norway's history.
