Throwback Thursday: A closet makeover with a purpose.

Too much clothing. Not enough room. And nowhere obvious for the little things.

This closet needed more than a pretty makeover. It needed a plan.
We made better use of the existing space, grouped clothing by category, and added labeled bins to keep smaller items organized and easy to find.

The result? A closet that makes the most of every inch — and makes getting dressed a pleasure, not a chore.

Tuesday Tip: The holidays are coming, and so is company!

Is your guest room ready, or has it become the place where everything goes?

Before guests arrive, take a fresh look at what’s in the room:

✔️ Find a home for the overflow. Relocate items that have accumulated without a permanent place.
✔️ Make guest essentials easy to find. Keep extra bedding, towels, and pillows together in one designated spot.
✔️ Clear the surfaces. Give guests room to set down their belongings without having to move yours.

A little organizing now makes it easier to welcome company later.

Sometimes, the best-laid plans take an unexpected turn.

We recently helped a client prepare for a move to Mississippi. The packing was complete, and two trucks were loaded when we got the call: the move was off.

So we pivoted. We needed a Plan B — pronto!

Luckily, we had packed, so everything was carefully labeled. We arranged for a storage unit and coordinated the unloading, helping the client decide what to store and what to set aside for a temporary rental.

Plans may change, but having an experienced team by your side makes all the difference. At ShipShape Organize, we’re ready to adapt, coordinate the details, and help you move forward — wherever life takes you.

Hello, October.

The days are getting shorter, the air is turning crisp, and we’re spending a little more time at home.

Fall is a good time for a little refresh. Perfect for bringing out a favorite throw, adding a few seasonal touches, or finally tackling a project that’s been on the back burner.

No major overhaul required. Sometimes a few thoughtful changes are all it takes to make a space feel ready for the season.

This Tuesday Tip bears repeating: A little reset tonight can make tomorrow morning feel different.

A five-minute reset isn’t just about tidying up. It’s about making your space ready for what comes next.

Before you call it a day, take five minutes to:

✔️ Put away the things that have migrated to the wrong room (coffee mugs, books, shoes).

✔️ Clear a surface so it’s ready for its next use (the dining table, kitchen island, your desk).

✔️ Put the things you’ll need tomorrow where you’ll find them (your bag, paperwork, workout clothes).

When everyday items have a home and simple routines are in place, a five-minute reset becomes a whole lot easier.

A few minutes today can make tomorrow feel a little more organized.

Pick a game. Gather everyone around the table. Let the competition begin. 

An organized home isn’t just about how a space looks; it’s also about making everyday life easier, giving you more time for the things you actually want to do. 

More time playing. Less time looking.

We’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer.

It’s been a fantastic one at ShipShape Organize — busy, productive, occasionally chaotic (we do work with a lot of boxes), and filled with great clients and an awesome team.

And we’re finishing strong. 💪

Because whether we’re helping a family move, unpacking an entire home, or turning a space that has gotten a little out of hand into one that finally works, we love what we do.

Here’s to the last stretch of summer — and whatever comes next.
