I have been going through a crisis of faith time in my life over the past year. When we sit in our own selfishness, sin, self-reliance, fear, depression, (name your struggle here), God will often take us into wilderness season. It feels like we are dying inside and filled with emptiness. When we moved these hydrangeas earlier this summer, they reminded me of exactly this.
Rest assured that you are not there alone, if you lean into Him. In Hosea 2:6-7, these verses state that God will block your path to others so that you seek only Him to heal you. When you go down even further to Hosea 2:14, it states “I will lead her into the wilderness and SPEAK TENDERLY TO HER”! He wants to restore us. He wants us to wrestle with ourselves in this time. He wants us to allow what doesn’t need to be to die off. All the while, He is working underneath it all to grow our roots solid in Him, as He speaks TENDERLY to us! That is salve to a wounded soul.
If you are in a wilderness season, get excited because God is doing something wonderful in your life! He never allows our pain to go to waste. Keep your eyes on Him.
