It's hard to believe that this month marks 30 years since Wolfgang Puck asked me to be the lead architect for Spago in Beverly Hills, which gave birth to SFJones Architects.

Since then, I've worked on over 100 projects, and people often ask which restaurant or social space is my favorite

And, that's an easy answer: The next one.

I plan to keep this going for a while...having too much fun.

The Pavilion in Concord, California is one of our favorite things we've been part of creating — six restaurant concepts designed to feel like a neighborhood worth wandering, not a destination you check off.

As the BeachLife Festival returns to the South Bay, one of our favorite projects is back at the center of it all: California Surf Club.

What was once a worn-down property is now a vibrant social space and restaurant, rooted deeply in local surf culture. It’s a place with a genuine identity and a story worth knowing.
