Riding the 4th Grade Wave 🌊

Young at Art South Bay is one of my favorite programs to be part of. I love getting the opportunity to create something special with the kids.

This project involved many steps, lots of experimenting, and plenty of trial and error along the way. Here’s a little look into the process behind the final pieces.

It all started with watercolor postcards created by the students. From there, we tried different ways to achieve the perfect surfboard form before creating custom 3D-printed surfboards and mounting each individual watercolor onto them. The finished boards were then installed on linen within shadow box frames to create the final artwork collection.

So grateful to have been part of this project. 🌊
